Hi, first of all, thanks, it takes me A LOT of time to finally see this video, but it worked like a charm. For people who have a Dell G15 5530 (core i5 13450HX) like me, I can desactivate BD PROCHOT (finally not in grey in ThrottleStop) and undervolt my CPU, but I don't know why, even if I disabled LOCK UNDERVOLTAGE in UMAF, I can't modify the values in ThrottleStop. I did it old fashioned way, directly in this UMAF BIOS, now I can use this Core I5 at full performance. THANKS A LOT ! (And no bug with the official BIOS when you reboot)
@phammanh0577Ай бұрын
What’s your undervolt value? I wanna ask because undervolt in bios may not reset like xtu and throttlestop when crashing
@phammanh0577Ай бұрын
And will i gain any performance if i disable bd prochot but not having power throttling? And can u tell me where is that setting in UMAF?
@Chris57-s5kАй бұрын
I'm fine with - 130mV on P-core and E-Core, and - 80mV on cpu cache (it's the max you can get for cache no matters you you decrease more this one). I have BSOD at - 150mV. Don't worry, you'll still able to boot on the BIOS, start gently at - 100mV, boot on windows, set you ratio per core (I'd suggest something between 42 and 44),if stable, decrease by 10mV each step until you have BSOD on Windows, then increase by 10mV to get a stable setup. Temp will be between 80-85 degrees Celsius. Give me a favor and deactivate thermal dynamics in the usb tool
@Chris57-s5kАй бұрын
If you don't have power throttling, no need to deactivate bidirectional prochot. In my case, because I set high cpu frequency, I have sometimes peaks on one or two core at 95 degrees Celsius, which conduct to power throttling. Deactivate it save the last 10% performance gain. I recommand undevolt gpu with Msi afterburner, if not already done, and after that it will last forever and you have the hardware performance that you paid for, and with better temperatures than Dell's stock setup.

Hello, first of all, I wanted to thank you for time and effort you put in the M18 videos, your clear explanations and goal to optimise this beast to the fullest potential. My M18 arrived today, 13900hx/4080 , first thing i did was installed hwinfo and ran C23, and I would love your input on my situation, I have one P core (P3) throtlling, all other cores ran in mid 80's, I hit 29000 on a single run. What would you advise me to do in this situation? Are there any measures I can take to bring it down under control? My last laptop lasted me 6 years (MSI GT72 titan) I'm hoping similiar longevity with this one aswell.

That seems to be the norm. Honestly you can try undervolting a bit and see if it helps. But CB will run the cpu a lot hotter than standard gaming would anyways

You need to remove the drives from the raid array. Simply changing from raid to ahci won’t do thar. Check the F12 boot menu, there should be an option for raid or additional options that has a raid menu. You don’t need the unlocked bios to do it
