No, original ones use slightly different silicone so whilst they’re not lint free, they are better than the fakes.

Leather ones are better for pockets, slippery enough to not snag and don’t collect lint but not slippery enough to where they slip out of your hand. Rather than apple clear one which is overpriced you may as well pay a little less and get the spiegen one.

Those cases were so bad I didn’t use them but my wife had a purple one on her iPhone 13 Pro Max, aside from buttons being mushy the case it self seemed fine, few little marks and small cuts but nothing too major.

As mentioned more times than I remember, AliExpress links never stay active, the only way to find them after a while is to do a search for whatever iPhone it is followed by 1:1 I did reach out to the current sellers on there about showcasing this years cases but as they weren’t interested I won’t pick any Particular one out as I can’t vouch for the quality.

They have the MagSafe magnets yes, but as mentioned in the video these particular ones don’t have the animation when you apply them but most sellers cases now probably will have both (or atleast an option to pay more and have the animation).

Yes, a big difference. The genuine phones fit snug and have a smaller lip at the front and when it comes to removing them it’s much easier. These replicas have an unusually large lip all around which I’ve not seen on any of their cases before. It looks like the replicas have still been made off the dimensions of the 12 which is obviously too tight on the 13s. The other big difference is the leather, the fakes use PU leather and their lacquer coating is more satin rather than Matt like the genuine ones are. Also compared side by side the interior alcantara/felt is not matched exactly to the case colour as they are on apples genuine ones. Fit and finish is just tighter and cleaner on the genuine ones all round (and of course the animations is missing on these ones too).

That’s why I went for that one, I hate the ones that have a notch cutout, you may As well not use a screen protector if you’re applying one of those and the reason o don’t like the black border is because the shape on the early screen protector’s isn’t quite right so it actually cuts off a tiny portion of the screen from almost all sides.

I cut out several minutes of this video where I was removing the cases, the cases are far too tight so no matter what “procedure” you follow it will still not be easy. In comparison the genuine one is snug enough to not be loose but there is no need to fight to remove it so please keep your facepalm to yourself until you’ve tried one of the case .🙄

No, leather on the fakes are clearly fake leather and have a sheen/shiny finish whereas as the genuine ones have a Matt finish (as leather is supposed to have). Interior lining is also different as the genuine ones match the lining to the case colour whereas the fakes just gen a colour that’s close to but not matching and use that. Also the biggest thing is fit and finish. Then genuine cases go on and off easily and only have a very small lip for lay on the table protection, whereas these fakes are incredibly difficult to remove and have a huge lip all around.

That’s part of the issue with the seller I used, they were supposed to have been delivered in 10 days but instead it took double because the seller sent them out late and kept lying about it. Normal times of the year items take around 10-14days to arrive but around Black Friday time things get delayed quite a bit and if you’re in the uK add on 20% vat and a shedload of delay because of brexit.

I bought a red case for 14Pro... at the price of an original one... got cheated... after observing that the animation is not working, I have searched online for real vs fake... indeed the fakes are 90-95% accurate (there are some fakes that also have the magsafe animation) and if you do not have one next to the other is very hard to notice... Anyway, the next day went I back to the store and got my money back. Main differences: 1. Fake has an extra sticker on the back of the packaging with writhing in chinese and hindu; 2. lip on fake (above the charging port) is flexible; 3. magsafe animation does not work (but there are some that do have the animation); 4. the magnet is a bit more prominent on the fake and the contour is not as subtle; There are other small differences, but really hard to notice like the color font of the letters on the packaging...
