Nice practice video. Step-by-step calculation and optical mounts setup make it easy to understand. Very useful👍👍

Superb and great video! I'm aligning a THz semi-confocal cavity. Do you have any good resources for me? It's actually getting much harder than what I thought, and we don't have cameras for that. The only feedback from the cavity that I have is transmission, which is a single waveform/number vs. cavity length.

We have also buit scanning high finnese FPIs, we used cilindric piezos. The equipment on the base is fantastic. Where can I buy this.?

Why do you use a beam folding technique????? Is it absolutely necessary??

In the tutorial video of F-P, there are few errors in the draft. First, the X = 2d/cos(theta) instead of 2d/sin(theta). It doesn't affect the perfect transmission case because he assumes that X is a multiple of Lamba, therefore the phase factor drops off still giving the correct case of pure transmission. Second, Finesse is defined as 4r ^2/ (1- r^2), instead of 4r^2/ (1-r^2)^2! Apart from these two the video id good!!

Why do you choose 4 GHz as the FSR? If the FSR is 40GHz, it seems the experiment results will not change, right?

Well I think the FSR is defined by the cavity length that is restricted by the focal length of mirrors. So in this video, FSR could not be 40 GHz.
