@@AlinDimitriuI love to speak the truths indeed! I want to buy this little beast, is there any way to assign a key for "Pitch" like the MPK Mini has? This answer will be my decision to choose one of em. Thanks!
@AlinDimitriu3 жыл бұрын
@@kentakuruishere9858 I'm not really sure what are you referring with "key for pitch", but I am guessing you're talking about the joystick on the MPK Mini? The APC Keys doesn't have a joystick, but even in one of my videos for this controller I've assigned the pitch of one instrument to one know. Bottom line is that you can assign anything to anything with Ableton, but I would recommend APC Keys in the case you need it also for launching clips as it doesn't have drum pads. This is just a minimalistic version of the APC 40.

Thank you for the appreciation and the sub Richie! I don't think this would be worthy of a tutorial since it's really just some Ableton delays and beatrepeats set on the piano and some parameters set on the controller, all on top of the song production clips set on scenes. There are already tones of tutorials on every level of production and performance here on KZbin, I don't think doing one would bring anything new :) Best of luck in your production adventure!

Please consider doing a tutorial on how you set this up? Awesome track and great video! A gem for anyone trying to figure out the Akai
@AlinDimitriu Жыл бұрын
Cheers for the appreciation Carl. Well, a tutorial would be really really basic as there's nothing complicated although it might look like it. Just a beat repeater with Ableton delays after it on an aux and some of the parameters (send, beat repeat rate, delay time... etc) sent on the knobs. Otherwise, the song production is set to clips for the small performance.

Hi Alin Dimitriu..Thats very pleasant start and sound controls. Basically I liked the instruments and vocals that you selected. I hv bought a new Akai APC 25 for my son. When he saw this video he was very impressed and he would like to try this. Could you please let me know the instruments that you have used to develop this track. Thank you very much. And keep moving and make many more videos on APC 25. :) :)
@AlinDimitriu5 жыл бұрын
Hey there, thank you for the kind words, I'm glad you and your son liked the music and the video. Regarding the instruments used, it isn't as complicated as it appears. My advice to your son is to find the sound that he likes and develop his own general trough them. It's not really about the tools, it's more about how you use what you got. If you want specifics, everything was build with Ableton. I've used samples from the packs I've created for the drums, for the bass I've used Serum, for the piano / plucks I've used Native Instruments and Omnisphere and the vocal is a sample I got from Splice. Hope this helps. Best of luck and inspiration to you and your son.

It's not really that complicated, a description video would be short and uninteresting I think. Some clips that I've launched, a layered piano to play with and some delays / beat repeats on return tracks mapped to the knobs and that's it :)

Sincerely dope! How'd you map the knobs to do all the beat-repeat stuff? Can you do a walkthrough? I had the APCKey25 years ago, but just picked up another one as I think it's such a well-designed, cool controller. Even though no RGB pads it doesn't really matter. Anyway... keep up the awesome work! Love this.
@AlinDimitriu3 жыл бұрын
Cheers Chris! Well, the mapping / setup is not as complicated as it sounds. The beat-repeat is added after the delay on a return track and mapped out some of its parameters on the knobs, that is it. Basically the delay on the piano is beat-repeated :) Hope this helps in some degree.
