That is the knife which will be used to cut the cake later, it's a tradition before giving the knife to groom and bride a few people usually very close relative (not necessarily the sister of the bride) dance with the knife ,and the groom will give them money to take the knife, if they continue to dance, the groom would know to give them more. The money is not that much anyway,, it's the act of giving that represents wealth in their future life together.
