Kinda had no idea how "delicate" soccer players were until womens soccer blew up in the US and I went to the mens World Cup event thinking it would be so much more exciting. Instead I got to see grown men throw themselves onto the ground and practically cry real tears after barely being touched. Didn't take long to figure out it was a strategy, but I kept thinking...wow, aren't they embarrassed?? Totally turned me off of watching the sport.
