It takes about 3 hours to take a train from the flat ground to the mountain. However, the current route interruption needs to be repaired, and it will still take a while to take the train from the flat ground to the mountain.

This train is the charter train. Its destination is 65.3K, Let tourists visit the tunnel 48’.

@@fpk1234 I have checked the line on google map as much as I have been able to. There are very nice and dense woods up there in the mountains! :) Do local people use this line to commute? Or is this line maintained mainly for tourism? I guess the line still starts out at Chiayi.

Currently this railway is mainly used for tourism. There is a daily train from Chiayi to Shizilu(十字路). The current route from Shizilu to Pingzhena(屏遮那) is interrupted and is under repair.
