I'm glad she got the job on Community that let her express her comedic side, because she's so naturally funny. I've followed her through that show, Mad Men, several rom coms and other movies (Little Hours, Disaster Artist), and I think she has really hit her stride as Ruth in GLOW. Ruth is a more complete person, she has such depth, and it's hard for me to go back and watch Community's Annie now. And I enjoy watching Alison being Alison, on things like this, because she has so much to say, and her face and voice are so expressive. And when she takes off her makeup, she's still so beautiful that I understand why husband Dave prefers her that way! Waiting for their movie The Rental, due out next year, and hoping for GLOW Season 4!

God, what an appealing person. I wish our culture were designed for adults. The public, fans don't have a right to ANY part of a the private life of a "celebrity". If we'd stop slobbering over them, stop creating "celebrities" like the Kardashians, people famous for being famous, then studios wouldn't have to pay actors so much to cover all of the non-acting work they do pandering to the booblic. But that level of cultural maturity is beyond America.

So I never knew about Brie, until I started watching community (yes I'm very late, don't watch too many shows, but hey.. corona...). Instantly fell in love with this gorgeous woman (like a lot of guys probably) and started looking up her interviews to get a feel for the person behind the character. Have to say: this is the first interview I've watched where she doesn't sound like a balloon animal (her words, but accurate. Her voice sometimes hurts my ears..) or reacts overhyped to anything and it feels real. Was gonna write her off as a hollywood doll, but this interview shows a highly intelligent woman who knows how to keep work (or character) and private life separate, which is good for her and her husband. Wish there were more interviews like this though, cause this is the Alison Brie I can actually respect and admire. Really glad I watched this. Oh yeah: she's still a fox without the makeup, maybe even more.
