Take an eye to this woman. That's pure talent. Auto tune destroyed music nowadays. 80s culture is your daddy. Pure class, soul meaning. Nothing compares with the 80s.

Alison Moyet is the best female singer the UK has ever produced. She has a voice that moves effortlessly from genre to genre, with a powerful voice that oozes soul, passion and raw emotion.
@trama1102 жыл бұрын
Great thing about the 80's, no artist sounded like another. Alison had her own sound and voice. No one like it. Not to condemn the modern artists of today, but the industry has become a convoluted money machine that destroyed the soul and innocence of the musical process. There will never be anything like this (was) again.

It's a true shame that she hates to sing this song now... I LOVE this song!! This and Ode to Boy...
@davidscott1296 жыл бұрын
It's not that she hates the song, it's that it no longer represents her state of mind. She's said in interviews that her more mature self would not cry over a guy who treated her badly, she'd dump him and move on.
@georgewindsor53066 жыл бұрын
Dani Vargas - She hates everything these days I'm afraid.
@georgewindsor53066 жыл бұрын
That's as stupid as having Da Vinci saying he no longer want people to see the Mona Lisa because it doesnt represent his state of mind. What I mean is she's an artist an people want her to sing that song from time to time. This proves that no matter how great she is as an artist, she's still the same overweight, insecure, rude teenager she once was, but older now.

Instead of saying WOW after all these years she still sounds good you have to be really negative
@dublinvids51468 жыл бұрын
This was 1987 and anyway, she sounded perfect. She refuses to sing this song now because of how the lyrics portray a woman so desperate for a guy's love despite how badly he is treating her. She also says she doesn't like that there is an American twang in it, but I don't buy that reason. I think the former one is why she won't sing it which I find a little pretentious. People love the song, the money she made / makes from it has paid her bills. In my opinion she owes it to her fans to preform it.
