This is very theraputic and calming. I too found it very helpful to keep my sanity and a pourpouseful craft when at a dissatvantage due to painful joints. It is good physio for your hands wrist fingers and knuckles. Just don't get addicted and wear you hands out (you will it is very addictive)

+Sarah FLP thank you its easy to do once you do the measuring. you can use any book size as long as it has over 400 pages make the cake with a book with at least 400 to 500 pages. if your book has more just tear them out. you can do it with any book size they are cute when done in small or average size books, give it a try and see. You will be pleased with the result. Thank you for watching. Yes, just don't cut it free from the book cover. when you measure it out just split it into 2 tiers make the bottom tier taller than the 2nd tier that should work well. if the book is not too thick it will work just keep folding all the pages I would suggest trying a smaller book with say around 200 pages to see how it works. I do know this works kept inside the large atlas type road map books.

My wedding is book, tea, and beer themed.

I have added beer bottles and a beer glass to my files in Craftytwunts my facebook page for you to try Tori. They are cut around templates. Just watch the cut out vase No1 this is the same way to use the beer bottle templates and the pint beer glass. I did several thicknesses so you can try diffrent size bottles. They will fit a 23cm book but if you want it smaller just trim the bottom of the bottle template to fit a smaller book. Have fan and remember be careful cutting around them.

Yes, for a 2 tier just measure it for 2. I don't know the measurements as I don't know how high your book is. I would measure half the page then add either a half inch or an inch to the BOTTOM layer. The bottom layer always looks better if it is slightly taller than the top. I hope this helps

don't know what I have done wrong found the same book did all my folding it was fine until I had finished the top is flat as is the bottom but the middle spireruls

I have never been told this before the only thing I can think of is because it's in the middle the other folds from the top and bottom are preventing it from freely moving. I can suggest a remedy but it may take a wee bit of extra time to do but it should straighten it out. If you can cut a thin slice of paper from the top and bottom of the middle section that may stop it rubbing on the other sections and should let it freely move. I hope this helps. Either that or move the center into position with your hand by lightly brushing the folds into place. I truly think the problem is it's getting jammed by the top and bottom layers.

I just measured mine into 3. It looks better if the base is wider than the middle and the middle is wider than the top then follow the way I folded it. The folding in should work with any size book. You just have to work out dividing the hight into 3

top 6cm middle 8cm base 9.5 base folds in one-quarter middle fold in by half and top folds in by 3 quarters (cut the top sections in half so you only fold in one quarter it is less bulky) if you watch the video how I make the cutting template from 1 page of the book you can keep the templates to use on other books to save you time

+Lorna Wilkes Thank you for your kind comments, remember you can decorate it anyway you choose it doesn't have to be for a wedding and you can easily work out the size for other smaller or even taller books, as long as you fold the layers the way the video suggests. If you want two layers just follow the instructions using just the middle and bottom layers. It is a quick easy fold once you figure out the marking. Have fun xx
