I found a tomato hornworm on a tomato plant this week. I decided to teach him a lesson. I marched him right over to the chicken coop and they took care of it. I hope his friends were watching and I got the message across 😂

I love that you cover hot climates. I too, live in a hot climate, with summers reaching 120° in July and August. I started using shade cloth on everything last year after visiting you and seeing what you did in your garden. I use 30%. Thanks Ali! Keep them coming.

I was just wondering why the bottom leaves of a couple of my plants had turned yellow. Perfect timing. Thank you.

Isn't that the truth! It is so different in Southern Utah than 15 miles north!

I sure enjoy this channel, even when you suggest things that differ from my process😇! Different ideas often give me something to think about! My tomatoes get an application of my compost tilled into the root zone, I also add a balanced fertilizer at planting, and then I spoon feed with nitrogen while the plants are in their active growing phase. I mostly grow determinate tomatoes, barring disease I get super duper yields!

We all do things differently😁. I think that’s great so we can adjust to our growing zones, soils, weather, ect. And make and do what works for us individually. Thank you! 😊

How long do you run the drip system for your tomato?
@Alisorganics3 ай бұрын
In the summer it takes about two hours with the slow drip.

Thanks. I struggle the most with tomatoes. Any chance you have any tricks other than dr. bronners/neem for leaf footed bugs? I think I just lost a tree of green unripe apricots to them, and they're on my golf ball size unripe poms? I've only ever had a problem with them in November. Weird year already.

Have you ever tried spinosad?
@jillnewton56303 ай бұрын
I'm in Phoenix area and had a problem with them last year. I use spinosad spray and it helped.
