You have just described my life. I am living in the same house as my ex due to not being able to financially move and there being a housing crisis here in Queensland, Australia. There are moments or a day when he shows up (best behaviour) how he was when we met and I almost feel something again, but he can't maintain the act and reverts back to his real narcissistic, tantrum throwing, sulky two year old self and reminds me of why I can't be in a relationship with him. I have a Bernese Mountain Dog, who when I come home and take my shoes off, ABBIE my 10 month old 110 pounds and not fat but a sweet girl who brings me one shoe and sets in front of me.
