Great design! I think the square fuzzy one is my favorite too! I would do them with string around the button instead of bands around them because rubber hardens and breaks over time. Even wrapping string or thread around them would be pretty quick. I will definitely look for some of that scrim!

Yes twine would last longer but I was thinking why there's lots of wire that doesn't rust and that would last for a long time then you could make the wire longer and wrap some green flower tape around it and make a flower that has a stem oh boy you really inspired me can't wait to make these I wish I could show them to you

I’m a dressmaker for many years & I’m thinking… no sew, no glue??? This is an awesome idea!! My 10 yr old granddaughter is very artistic… loves to paint & create. She’s learning to sew but sometimes holding petals together to sew or glue are a bit tricky. She will love this! Thank you, Katie

You could use pennies and call them 'good luck' flowers. Dimes would be thinner. I think also, you could have the button side up and glue on some beautiful tiny glistening beads to the bump. I do like all of them even the heavy fabric. I think on those id pull the fabric towards the center and let them be fluffy, and then perhaps put some tiny beads on wire pins and make some stamens for the sparkle in the center...

Instead of a rubber band you can always use a cotton string and tightly wrap it around make a knot and the heat of the glue gun won't be an issue.

I am so glad I watched this video I tried making these flowers straight away and it is so easy I ended up making heaps! I used twist ties or wire that can twist around itself instead of the bands as I think rubber bands may eventually deteriorate and it works a treat. Then I hot glued some brooch pins I bought in a pack from a local $2 shop and voila I have heaps of beautiful looking brooches. Thank you so much for posting this I am rapt with my flowers.

Just remember the magnet would have to be glue don. Magnets will not stick on fridge with something over the magnet. So, yea, could glue magnet on back. And of course you could use a magnet in stead of a button. But, if you want it on fridge, have to glue another magnet, on material. Magnet needs to be bare.

Hi Tricia thanks for the informative straightforward and kind instructions with all that you do. I love this flower. I tried this and it is so easy and you can manipulate it so that it looks amazing each time - like you I found softer fabrics look more shabby but it even works with wide ribbon. It is definitely my go to flower when time is short - great result every time. Loving what you do is so rewarding and I can tell you really DO love your craft. Greetings from Western Australia.

This idea is absolutely BRILLIANT!!! I couldn't imagine what you were going to do and was laughing and saying "OMG that's amazing"...over and over. You make the most wonderful shabby flowers and have inspired me to experiment. Now I need to figure out what the heck to do with them all. LOL
