Haha, thanks man, seriously. And yes, camera work were a habit that I carried over from Kerbal Space Program and I was able to recreate with spectator mode here. And the replay tool is simply wonderful. In this chapter I was still exploring them, I hope to be able to exploit them much more in part two 😃

Thank you. But I must confess, updates will not be that relevant to this story. This first chapter is an introduction to an expanded universe I imagined a long time ago, and most of the things I need are already in the game.. The real challenge lies in projecting it properly into the game 🙂

this is an interesting framing of the essential Space Engineers: survival, pirates, revenge, isolation, AI, reconaissance, daring. A story well told! I've tried making a few stories also, and I know how much time & effort it can take!

Yes, it is a real challenge. Recording the second part is taking me much longer than I expected, and this is just an introduction to the plot. After the end of this chapter, the real story begins.

I had a simple idea for a light-hearted story, an astronaut crashed on a planet who is bombarded with those 'unknown signal' pods, one after the other, and finds that they're all next to useless, and crazy stuff happens. But then I thought, 'so how did he get there?' and felt compelled to create 2 intro videos to explain that! Now, many months later, i've finally finished part 3!

@@Soul.food. Wow, I took a look at your channel and thought you were inactive. The last video in the main section was a year ago, youtube really is inefficient sometimes. I'll go check them out. Regarding my story, I don't want to comment too much since any hint will be a complete spoiler haha, plus it's too early for plot twists. But I will just say that the end of chapter 1 will have a radical change in the dynamic with which it started. This expanded universe is something I've been thinking about since I was making videos in Kerbal Space Program. Now that I discovered Space Engineers, I created this narrative arc within that universe, in the second chapter it will be clearer.

Guys, a couple of details I forgot to put in the description. I know it feels like it was left a bit half-finished. This was supposed to be a single one-hour chapter, but besides being too long it would have taken me too long without uploading a video so I split it into two 30-minute fragments. Yes, sorry about that, it is a mistake that I still do not know how to solve, my intention is to subtitle them in Spanish, since the audio is already in English, but when I load the subtitle file, it labels it as if the video was in Spanish and the subtitles in English. I still do not understand why this happens.

I'm glad you like it. Yes, the AIs are still pretty basic unfortunately, but I don't have better options at my disposal right now 😅. I hope to upload the next chapter in the next few weeks. I'm recording it with much more care than this one.

You might want to look into the "deep fake" AI generated voices. They are very close to real voices and would add a lot of polish to the episodes Really enjoyed the story. Ill start watching some others too

Dude, I'm Cuban, my English pronunciation is horrible /:-7, and I don't have good recording equipment. Good AIs are paid for and totally out of my reach. I appreciate your honesty, but either I do my best with what I have, or I'll have to leave this story stored in a drawer for years 😔.
