When I saw this movie, I was like: it's like dealing with the Corona virus, but way worse. Here's why: 1) You have to stay at home, quarantined 2) You have to have all your food and water supplies with you 3) You should not go outside as it's very dangerous. 4) And of course, there's a contagious virus spreading around, infecting people and killing others around them by passing it on through cough, sneeze, etc.

Corona could mutate into diff strains if around for awhile & spike zombie like symptoms like going into a coma , brain dead , fever etc. but to make someone come back from the dead , and hunger for human flesh ... that’s impossible. You’d need some man made genetic virus , & even with that .. it’s hard to get one that’ll make people come back from being dead .. a zombie apocalypse is really not likely. For your curiosity, most Koreans including myself know the film is an adaptation of the famous webtoon. The following is part of a Korean article.. "Originally based on Naver webtoon 'Dead Days' on June 24, the movie 'Alive' has been released..." I personally loved the unique film. It was almost like a creative inde art house film but never boring. It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time! Better to see it on the big cinema screen though (At least connect Netflix to tv!) The ending had to be a happy one unlike Train to Busan, to give hope to us who are struggling with Corona. Let's hope we'll also see the end of this nightmare and light of hope. Timing of the film is appropriate!

This movie really surprised me! I didn't expect it to be so good. One thing that called my attention is the final message: stay strong, don't give up, survive. I interpret this as a message regarding suicide prevention, since the characters considered suiciding some times during the movie, but in the end they didn't give up and survived, even with all the bad circumstances. For the people who check trailers here before watching….. #Alive is a solid zombie movie. These zombies are fairly vicious, they look vicious and there are a large number of them. It’s a very straight forward movie. There are a lot of zombie movies out there that don’t hold up, but this one does because it gives viewers a realistic sense of isolation and adjusting to survive with decent action behind it. If you live in an apartment complex, I’d say this is a very close simulation to how a person would handle a zombie outbreak from their room in a high rise. I live in one so I caught myself the whole movie imagining how I would handle this if this outbreak happened outside my door. Only thing that could be bothersome to a viewer to me is there is really no change in setting outside the apartment complex. However, they do a good job using the environment and making it feel real. I also felt like they pulled their punches just a little a little bit on gore/violence, but everything doesn’t have to be over the top bloody so it still works fine for the movie. I would say watch this one ✅
