Ganó Maidana, le llenó la cara de dedos, pero los puntos no lo ayudaron. Se recuperó del golpe al hígado del minuto uno. El otro fué inteligente, su estrategia se basó en no dejarlo llegar y moverse todo el tiempo. Sabía perfectamente a lo que se exponía si el Chino se le acercaba. Eso, más frenar a Maidana con constantes combinaciones cuando éste atacaba le dió el "triunfo", bastante cuestionable. Lo tenía estudiado. El Chino es siempre un gladiador y le faltó un toque de suerte para voltear a Khan.
