Alix strikes me as the type of person who just doesn't value her belongings enough to keep them nice because she's never had to learn to value her belongings. She also doesn't seem like the type of person who cares enough to even learn how to clean up after herself. I don't know why people love her so much, she just seems like a messy spoiled brat to me.

I have pretty severe depression and adhd, so my room has been as messy as hers many times, but this is still too far even for me. I think this is too far even for her brand. When my room is this bad, I don't let my family, friends, or peers come in it, let alone post a video of it on the internet. Also, if you would rather pee through your costume than stop drinking and go home, you might need to reevaluate your drinking and partying habits. Edit: *** pets not peers

I was going to comment something similar. I also have ADHD and depression and as a result I don't have the best personal hygiene, but the shame I feel about it is too intense for me to ever give details. Not that that kind of shame is a good thing (it isn't), but it's why Alix's behavior strikes me as being inconsistent with depression and/or ADHD. Then again, I'm not a psychologist and I don't know her so who knows 🤷

I think it’s dangerous to make these assumptions whenever we don’t know her. You could be right, it’s not unlikely, but the assumption could also be wrong, then you’d be wrongly excusing away her horrible behavior with “she’s trying to escape from reality because she is depressed” We can and should still hold her accountable for what she has said and done, but speculating about her mental state is neither helpful, nor is it relevant when it comes to most of her “scandals” (also it’s just rude imo)

I can't imagine having this level of confidence. To walk around confidently smelling like piss. To go back to the party after sharting in front of someone there. To walk around when you started your period and just vibe without doing something to stop the bleeding. One time i went to Vegas and i saw a lady wearing tiny shorts. She was super drunk and she had a drop of blood sliding down her leg. I told her and she thanked me profusely. She said that's a sign she's been out to long so she went back home. Like a normal person. I feel like Alix would just wipe it off with her sock. Put the sock back on and move on with her day. So gross.

its being so hammered that you don’t care anymore. once you’re a certain level of messed up from alcohol or drugs, everything just feels fake. you’re barely conscious let alone aware of what you’re doing. if you’re around other people in the same state, they aren’t even looking at you or noticing. its also easy for people to become desensitized to disgusting things through addiction because they make you do disgusting things (puking, pooping/peeing yourself) so often. it becomes a normal occurrence. this girl should really use her money and privilege to get into a good rehab because she will not last long living like this.

As someone who has worked as a resident assistant in a dorm and also has several friends who grew up very wealthy, I think her messinesss and dirtiness comes from that kind of lifestyle where they’re not used to having to pick up their own room, do chores or make the bed etc. because they pay people to do that and their parents don’t put a lot of expectations of responsibility onto them. I have a friend who had never made her own bed in her entire life until she left her house and went to college. I honestly think it’s just kind of how it is for the children of the extremely wealthy and it’s honestly deplorable

I really think a lot of this comes back to her drinking and lifestyle. I don't know her personally, so I can't say if she is an alcoholic, but her behavior and general patterns definitely hint towards it. People in AA tell stories very similar to the ones you've mentioned every day. I think it really says something that people have a problem with her behavior now that's she out of college. It goes to show how normalized binge drinking and partying is college that so many people noticed this behavior and didn't acknowledge that it was not normal and unhealthy until she graduated. There are plenty of people who party hard in college, but the ones who go on to have a healthy relationship with alcohol usually figure out their limit and how to moderate their drinking by the time they graduate or soon after. I think the 9-5 reality hits a lot of students who do have problems with binge drinking pretty hard, but I worry with her influencer lifestyle that wake up call may come too late. I hope she is able to get her drinking under control before it really starts causing real problems. I also think she needs to be more cognizant of who her audience actually is, she may intend her videos to be for her peers but there are so many impressionable young kids watching her.

Very well said, my thoughts exactly coming from someone who was a heavy binge-drinker in college who got a wake-up call after I graduated and started working more hours and getting more responsibilities at work. I couldn’t sustain that lifestyle anymore, but I hope she starts realizing that even without a regular job it becomes hard to maintain relationships whether it be familial, romantic, or business when you drink to that level every night

Okay, so I... I have no words. No, hang on, I do have some words. I used to work with kiddos who weren't potty trained/had poor hygiene (for many reasons, not their fault, at all). It is truly disgusting. It's sad, but it's also disgusting. To walk into someone's room where they have left clothes with pee on them - it's awful. It would make me feel so ill. To happen to touch someone who's wet with pee - it's harrowing. And it's also incredibly unhealthy. Sitting in clothes covered in urine is going to fuck up your skin. Wearing underwear that is covered in urine can cause UTIs. I do worry about her health. I also worry hearing all this, because this is not rational behaviour, right? Like I think we all know that. The binge drinking, the constant partying, the risk-taker approach, the lack of hygiene, etc... there's something going on. Even if we were to just look at one part of it, say, her house. In my line of work, we're looking at whether or not she has the capacity to take care of herself, at that point. And that is sad, and it is concerning, and we should give her some grace on some level, because some part of her is not doing well. I don't know why no one in her life is doing anything about this (or maybe they are trying, but...). However, all that being said... yeah. Oof.

She sounds like she doesn’t have a lot of self worth/self respect/ self preservation. TW: alcoholism/ passive suicidality It sounds almost like my mom, who lost her leg because all she does is drink and party and didn’t want to go to the doctor despite being a medical professional herself. I’m pretty sure my mother is passively suicidal, and this girl strikes me as very similar in how she avoids taking actual care of herself and her surroundings and engages in extremely high-risk behavior.

She reminds me of myself in my early twenties when I was deeply binge drinking/partying and actively depressed with no treatment or therapy on board. The difference is I was deeply ashamed of the status of my space (I also never started in a pool lmao). I would never let anyone come over and any time I could save enough I’d pay for professionals to help me clean. I suppose that’s what confuses me about her… she can easily afford house keeping services and clearly is very open about her situation. I’m any case, when you’re always drinking and hungover in a loop you lose your ability to understand what’s actually happening in your surroundings. The only way I changed was going sober. I still have MDD but I’m medicated and in therapy and I push through in caring for my belongings and hygiene because it ultimately makes me feel so much better. I love each piece of clothing I’ve collected and I love every bit of furniture in my home. I want to treat them with the utmost respect! Once you start implementing habits of the “person you want to be” you eventually become that person ❤

The whole part about the birthday dress… I was super sick for a couple of days last week and let me tell you as soon as I felt a bit better I took all of the sheets, towels, clothes, everything I had touched and cleaned it. TWICE. I scrubbed the floor, the shower, the bathroom… just wanted everything to be super clean after a few days of me being sick… I really can’t imagine having a dress full of v*mit in my closet of OVER A YEAR?!?

I heard of this situation from a tiktoker named Clio who stated that this is the "last ditch attempt" in late stage capitalism where influencers who absolutely can't relate to you, to try to be relatable. But it backfired and this just makes her look disgusting AND spoiled.

I think it’s very irresponsible of Aliix Earle to knowing how young her fanbase is to air her dirty laundry like that. Especially her drinking and ending up somewhere so drunk that she has no idea how she got there. First of all, if she’s not careful, she’s gonna end up dead when she comes across the wrong person. Secondly, young people listening will think it’s ok. She’s not sending a good message.

Idk I think prolonged binge drinking is a huge sign of mental illness in general. It’s either or addiction or a coping method if you’re leaning on it so heavily that you’re incapable of fulfilling regular adult responsibilities. I’m definitely not trying to diagnose anyone on anything, just speaking from my personal experience and research I’ve done. If it was a short phase I wouldn’t feel this way, the length is what makes it potentially alarming in my experience

Sounds to me like she doesn't have a mental health condition going on, she just has very bad impulse control. That's something that people can just have, ESPECIALLY if they're white and rich which Alix is. Like, she just needs to learn to rein in her impulses- impulses to share everything even if she shouldn't, impulses to party a lot to the point where she throws up and can't be bothered to clean her own clothes. She just needs a big reality check, and honestly *as someone who has NO interest in her content At. All.* I hope she grows up and has more respect for herself cos like,,,,, To me she doesn't seem like she really DOES bother to take care of herself and her belongings. And like, that sucks. Sorry to hear she's got these problems and I hope she learns to control herself and her urges- in order to be a better person, for herself if not for the audience she has.

She sounds like as a kid she was left to her own devices and was never taught how to respect not only herself but others too. I remember coming home on the bus from town and I'd had a bad stomach and as i got to my stop and had an acident. I was mortified, i ran from the bus stop home in doors and showered. I threw everything I was wearing in the wash and started it up. Youyr right her wardrobe would have smelt of throw up so every single item of clothing would have smelt the same. As i said at the start zero self respect and zero respect for others.

I mean when I was super depressed my dog threw up in my car and I refused to clean it up. My boyfriend at the time cleaned it up about a month later, thankfully. I don’t think Alix should be attacked for lack of self-care, maybe she should be politely encouraged to take better care of herself though. I definitely doubt any of the things mentioned were intentional after all.

Although I agree that everything you talked about is really gross, I honestly feel kinda bad for her because I was a really bad drunk in college, like black out every night bad, waking up 2 hours before I had to go to class so I could lay down and throw up in the shower bad. I’m so glad that I wasn’t an influencer with millions of eyes on my every move, it would have been so much more embarrassing than it actually was. I look back now and I can’t believe I used to be like that but I’m thankful that I’m not like that at all now (I really only drink during the holidays except for once in awhile when I’ll have one drink after work). I hope she grows out of this like I did. You realize that drinking enough so that you’re waking up feeling ashamed of yourself and your actions isn’t cool and fun and other people are put off by it, plus it’s hard to maintain a career if you’re waking up feeling hung over every day. I’m thankful to my job because once they moved me up and gave me more hours I couldn’t keep that lifestyle going and I’m so much better for it now. It’s going to be harder for her as an influencer because she just films her life and gets money doing whatever she wants so unless she needs to do like a brand deal or something, she probably won’t need to be accountable for much so there won’t be as much of a reason to stop but I hope she learns and grows out of it, especially her hygiene habits for her sake

I’ll admit that I’m not a very tidy person. I have ADHD and I live alone so it’s very easy for me to just let my whole house get away from me sometimes, HOWEVER, I also understand that cleaning is the RIGHT thing to do, so I get very self conscious about people seeing my house, if I know someone will be in my house, I will speed deep clean for hours because I refuse to let other people see my house in that state. It’s not anyone else’s problem but mine so I refuse to make anyone else suffer through it. The fact that she posted the state of her house online for millions of people to see is INSANE.

i’ve been an alcoholic since i was 16 (28 now) and i have done a LOT of embarrassing things while drunk. in the moment, you are so wasted you don’t realize or don’t care that you have made a mess of yourself. HOWEVER, once you get that clarity that sobering up brings, i cannot begin to explain the shame and embarrassment that comes with remembering what you did. this girl has no shame, like i did when i was really young. but damn, with age comes some sort of maturity but i guess not for this girl.

I don’t know anything about her but the word for this is not depression. It’s ‘spoiled.’ She is doing what reality tv stars did through the mid 00s. I grew up going to private schools and boarding schools and met many people like her along the way. Most don’t even have their shit together at 30. They act like children who are given the house to themselves and a platinum card with no parental limit. I’m shocked she doesn’t have ‘the help’ cleaning up after her, but all of the ones I have met would be the same level of gross if they didn’t have a maid service. I have yet to meet a single spoiled trust fund baby who was a good person. Most can act nice and likable when all eyes are on them, but then they send you threatening texts at 1am because you wore the same shoes they did, and that is a problem to them for some reason, or their partner said hello to you and that means you must be a threat, or just to make you feel ugly and unattractive because they think being a bully is fun. They yell at people who work with the public over non issues like ‘this latte has too much foam’ or ‘I wanted the black handbag, not the red one’ and what not. They don’t tip their servers and make comments like ‘it’s not my fault they are poor. Like, who ducking cares if they can’t buy groceries for their kids? I have things I want to buy with MY money,’ knowing damn well that they didn’t earn it. Not all rich kids are like this. Similarly, I’ve met middle class people who will go into debt indulging their adult offspring who can’t even load a dish washer. But it’s a big problem in the upper tax brackets. You can absolutely give your kids nice things, but the moment indulging their every wish becomes more of a priority than teaching them to be humble, responsible, mature, kind, altruistic, and develop a good work ethic, you are setting them up to be a burden on everyone who will have the misfortune of meeting them. If she can’t even wash her vomit dress or contain her bodily fluid stories (as well as the fluids themselves), she cannot be a good friend to have, beyond a drinking buddy you tolerate in small doses when they are putting on the nice act.
