YESSSS I WAS WITH SONG YADONG!!! I thought he was just going to try to survive Simon's wrestling but he certainly showed great distance control and great boxing skills, making it a pretty effective anti wrestling defence. stop 9 takedowns of 11. Until finally getting to a spectacular finish . Plus song Yadong fight IQ was good here adjusting mid fight to counter Simon's style I like both Song Yadong and Ricky Simon, both are dark horses in the division. Head up for Simon, if he learns from this match he'll be on title orbital. But in this fight Song Yadong proved to be at the championship level. Maybe a rematch with Chito Vera, Rob Font or maybe against Petr Yan would be cool and and a good opportunity for three fighters for getting up the rankings to a possible title contender.

What Aljo said about being a competitor over a fighter is huge for him to understand mentally, alot of these guys don't know which they are. in my opinion strategy first and avoid damage but the guys who can go dark and switch from competitor to fighter( Izzy rd5 vs Gastelum) will have the most success competitors break before fighter imo. I want aljo to win bad and i hope this is the fight were he finds that dog in him cause henry's gonna push hard and has that dog. GOOD LUCK CHAMP!

That's true I do wonder how much the headbutt affected him. At least it didn't end the fight.. I'm not sure there's a good solution tho for headbutts. Only thing I can think of is if they have some guy or a team of guys watching the fight and if they see a headbutt they immediately radio to the ref and have him stop the action no matter what is happening to give the fighter a chance to recover and see how affected they are. But all that feels unlikely to happen imo. They'll prob just keep hoping for the best and stopping when it's super obvious Ig
