this podcast should have at least 10 times more subscribers, least! Rampage is such a character, such a MAN! One of the few who always sounds like he's intelligent as F on top of how much he's a badass. Co-host is also just spot on, idk if they are buddies or just business partners, but the guy fits perfectly. Every podcast on this channel is just gold. Aljo is the man for sure too. Wish you guys much deserved growth! Best wishes from Ukraine!

There's just alot that goes into aljo's controversy... 1 - his performance; and that's what it was after the knee- a performance, rolling around the cage 2 - he dropped the belt into the center of the octagon acting like it wasn't how he wanted to win it 3- he leaves the hospital after 30 minutes, after which, a doctor stated that he had NO concussion -Dana White confirmed this at the post fight press conference 4- He took to Instagram at an after fight party, Flexing with the belt, totally negating his performance after dropping it into the center of the octagon 5- The aftermath: he tried to play the Conor McGregor - like villain afterwards, as opposed to just being open about the fact that he put on a performance for the sake of forwarding his career Add insult to injury, the man takes advantage of the grounded opponent rule like no one else and is extremely boring to watch, making him all around just unlikeable. Had he just owned it and said, "shit, I'm getting PPV points now" he'd have a bigger fanbase

Rampage says he knows about getting kneed to the head in Pride repeatedly, but I really think that if UFC allowed knees, Aljamain wouldn't have acted so dazed and confused afterwards just like the countless fighters who were kneed in the head when it was legal. He acted more dazed and confused for longer than people who woke up after getting knocked out by Ngannou. I'm not saying it didn't hurt or it doesn't disorient someone, but I think the truth is somewhere in the middle between reality and exaggeration/acting.

Honestly I stuck up for Aljo in comments knowing he was dazed a.f. by the knee but then I was a little perturbed by the belt posing pics cuz I'm defending dude & then it looks like he's celebrating a belt he got by default. Have to understand u live publicly & then publicly post that pic, it will lead to backlash. Still respected him tho especially after returning & winning 2nd fight with Yan. It's a tough gig. Add a bunch of tough talking clueless fucks online who call fighters bums when they couldn't handle a day in their life, never mind weight cuts, fighting etc & that's more added to the plate. Just have to focus on improving & being present & on for the big show & tune all the noise out.

21:25 I believe the difference is Floyd was always picking and choosing his fights thus was never undisputed in any weight class, also never fought outside of USA, always fights with home field advantage, and he wasn't forcing himself to defend his belt, he was winning then vacate his belt, you can't do that in MMA and UFC, imagine Floyd winning 10 interim UFC belts but not undisputed, and UFC wouldn't allow anyone to win and vacate his undisputed titles again and again, thats the difference. Another difference Floyd has the lowest KO finish rate (%54) amongst other legends in boxing, Ali has %66 finish rate for example, and Floyd also having many close fights thus he needed to do more.

Rampage is right about Dana White and the UFC logos. The times when UFC did was most successful is when there were entertaining/marketable fighter being promoted. UFC basically had mma on lock in 2010, but they stopped promoting fighters, made them all look the same and made it very generic looking. Most ppl don't know any UFC fighter by name besides Conor MCgregor. More people are interested in watching ex ufc fiighters in other promotion than watch UFC events
@rclxastro11 ай бұрын
Respect your opinion, but this just isn’t true. there are many fighters that casuals are aware of. It was a great business move by the UFC, uniforming all fighters making the focus not primarily on the fighters but the company itself.
@rclxastro11 ай бұрын
Additionally, the ppv numbers with ex UFC fighters in other promotions DON’T do well at all, example: (Tito vs Chuck). UFC is the best in the business when it comes to fighter promotion.
