It cannot implode based on how the US voting system is structured. Our democracy is based around plurality, or “winner-takes-all” where only one representative represents a whole voting district or area. This type of voting naturally devolves into a two-party system because it forces smaller 3rd parties to absorb into a larger party just so their ideals can be represented on the ballot. The very best that can happen is that a 3rd party switches with one of the major parties and becomes the new major party in the two-party system. But then, we’d still be back to square one as that new major party would devolve into the same political schema. We’d need to literally amend the Constitution to base voting around proportional voting blocks, where multiple people represent one voting district like they do in other democracies. But that’s such a difficult thing to accomplish, that it’s probably never going to happen. The implosion of the two-party system would mean the implosion of US democracy, period. So the best we can do is vote for the major party that best represents our ideals, which is why I always vote Democrat.

Agreed. While I fully support West's campaign for 2024, I frankly sympathize with Steve Clemons on his chances of winning the White House. Dr. West is the most dangerous person to the system. I would be concerned for his safety from so many different constituents if by some miracle he won. Demilitarizing America talk is dangerous to his health. Our government has a long history of getting rid of people like him in other countries. I don't put it past them doing it to our own. I just hope the media allows him to get his message out, not just on small platforms.
