I did the trip 10 years ago from England to Dakar and that's by far my most memorable road trip yet.Morocco is beautiful and the western Sahara with the nomads was just amazing. I met few truck/ Lorry drivers from Spain and Morocco and they were very helpful on tips about the road. Mauritania was a nightmare, over 30 checkpoints between the border after no man land to Nouatchokk and every police officer was asking for gift and handing me fake penalties charges without any reason which obviously I refused to pay. I was held for a day as I refused to pay on the first checkpoint an equivalent of 5 euros for no reason valable. Their harshness was so apparent...I will do it again on my next year holidays Feb 2021 and just hope that i won't have any major issues in Mauritania. My favourite place in Morocco (excluding the Sahara) was Al Jadida which I discovered by pure chance after missing the exit to Marrakech...Lovely experience.

Western Sahara is a nation that doesn't belong to Morocco. Morocco illegally occupies it since 1976. Sahrawis (the people of Western Sahara) have an independence movement called POLISARIO which struggles and claims the independence of Western Sahara. Western Sahara is a full-fledged member of the African Union and many nations from all around the world recognize Western Sahara. The United Nations considers it to be a "Non-Self-Governing Territory" and there is a UN mission (MINURSO) tasked with the organization of an independence referendum in Western Sahara, but because of Morocco's opposition to this referendum, the kingdom keeps putting all sorts of hurdles to prevent it from taking place. The game is not over and Western Sahara will be independent.

Ninki Nanko Fangbondi Starts to open books, inhabitants of thoses countries are Amazighs not arabs, they finally adopted Islam after arabs suffered a lot to take their countries... Yes Morocco is a great country, one of the very few "nation country" in this continent, a state not created by colons but with a real history...

Amazigh Blue Azul - 132ans de viol FR & 318ans TR Morocco is a racist country... A bunch of racist thieves.. Any country that treat people base on skin color is a racist country...

There are racists in Morocco, but the country is not a racist country. Racism is universal sadly, even in Africa, i saw a lot of racism in South Africa for example when black people murder black from other countries espacially from Zimbabwe... I saw white people murdered by blacks... Black people from the current Mali, Mauritania and Senegal played a very important role in Moroccan History. With the black guard, they were so powerfull, they decided of Kings. Read Books. THe best thing to kill your ignorance.

Ninki Nanko Fangbondi Your words are the words of a racist man... You act like white supremacist, but for blacks. You can't accept the fact that Amazigh People are the real natives and inhabitants of North Africa for thousands of years now.Dare to liberate something in North Africa, we will eat racists like you.
