Philippine president faces backlash: Helicopter ride to concert draws public ire

Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Junior has been criticized for using a presidential helicopter to attend a concert in northern Manila, bypassing the notorious traffic in the capital.

@@erinbyrnes5921 it s not people s expense. It s poor population s thinking. The president travels with the public bus bcz he s going to a personal event?? He travels in a chopper bcz he has presidential benefits and security . He could also do like many presidents do, stop the traffix in all the main roads leading to the "concert" venue and leave you blocked for 9 hrs in bottle neck trafic uul ll never reach ur home bthat day until he takes the road back and goes home. The chopper is the better way believe it or not. It s just annoying poor cou tries are always looking at silly things presidents do.

Critics of Marcos are like mushrooms, especially now that I think the Philippines is planning to join the International criminal court, and this isn't a good sign for some there. The majority of Filipinos voted for another Marcos into power despite the corruption accusations against his late father, the ex-President. This is a very clear sign that the majority of us are widely awakened that the accusation is baseless and made by the enemies of him to be able to throw him, and these corrupt politicians, when they came to power, just destroyed the Philippines. We are not in the old days when the only sources of news were the biassed media, because now there are so many sources. Those Filipinos who are complaining about how difficult life is, well, yeah, it's difficult, especially when you are just blaming the government for being jobless but you have no action to solve your own problem and are just waiting for the government to serve your meal at your table. Inflation is everywhere not just in the Philippines , compared to other countries and ASEAN the inflation in the Philippines is low. In every trip, the President attends very important meetings, and in return, he brings home investment that generates jobs and income . That's why the Philippine economy is rapidly growing and is one of the fastest-growing economies in Asia now . The President has own money to pay to watch that concert ... Lift up your as* and do works so that you can contributes to the rapidly growing economy.
