I agree w the overall rule of thumb to not stand w out montys shield w out extending cause it is a good idea like 90% of the time when you have teammates to get the kills for you. Ping for ur team and let them shoot. However standing w out the shield extended can solid Ina 1v1 if u have no help and need to kill them yourself. It allows you to bait them into shooting ur feet while u then ads w the pistol and get a free head shot. Walk at them standing w out the shield extended, wait for their head to look at the floor/feet and keep ur head safe, have good aim and ur winning a lot of those gun fights

Lion scanning at the start, though still normally bad, can work if you have a diemos and drone phase didnt go well. Very situational, but ni defender usually cares about a spawn scan. You can get 1 or 2 mire ops for diemos that way. Though, that is planning for failure, so you know, normally rookie mistake
