THIS. This is the coolest thing on youtube, by a wide margin.

Tried for a long time to figure out from clearer still photos of the board how to set the desired next position since the second row of gauges for position has no knob to set preset position. Basicly, how to you dial in the next desired position.

The explanation is in my article, at the very end. peterclarkinc.blogspot.com/2020/06/peter-clark-and-radio-city-music-hall.html

@@ALKAHESTBOY Thanks. That article was once reprinted in ATOS Journal. I read the part on pre setting the position and that is what I had suspected it to be but had concern as to how to get it to a precise position such as at stage level or a wing deck below without overshooting your mark on the dial if you let go of the button a split second too late or early. (It can't get even a quarter of an inch off as a Rockette would go flying.) I am surprised Peter did not have this set with a dial much like the speed control. In any event Peter Clark was ahead of his time. My interest in this is, one, love of theater tech and two, my grandfather, Henry Schaffner created the first contour curtain that hung when the theater opened. He surely would knew Peter.
