I can't believe you went through all the trouble of doing this. THANK YOU! I am drawing a piece of my friends PC with her romance as a birthday gift. I only have a few screenshots to go off of, and I want it to be a surprise. But didn't have a good reference, and the wiki doesn't have good pictures of the armors up. I did find the set I was looking for here. From an artist, this helps more than you know!

It sucks to have mostly the armors look cosmetically good for your characters, but you have to give up stats for it. Wish they had better clothing selections so we can just toggle on / off how we want our characters to look regardless of stats. Even if there were some decent clothes, we'd have to wait until Act 3 grind wise.

Wave Mother's and Viconia's robes are my favourites, I was so bummed that I was locked out of the former because I completed the Iron Throne quest BEFORE speaking to the priestess at the Water Queen's House. Going to get it in my second run. Drow armour always looks good, and Astarion looks amazing in Elven Chain and Cloth of Authority.

You CAN get wave mother robe after the iron throne. Im just repeating what i saw on Reddit, the steps are- 1) First of all, you can't have already spoken with the woman who gives you the quest at the funeral. 2) Go back to the submarine room and kill the submarine captain. 3) Put his corpse in your (or your companion's) inventory 4) Now go to the funeral and speak with a group of women inside the building (captain's corpse must be in the inventory) After that, you will have a dialogue option stating that you have killed the captain, choose that and the woman will give you the robe

there are no negatives. if people dont want it they can simply not use it. there are even dyes in the game to change colors of equipment. but i dont want to waste my very rare dye on my green plate armor +1 ... cmon, just allow me to equip some great looking armor. my paladin looks so goofy that i just turn off armor completly so he runs around in a gray shirt... not very immersive

You can collect and dye cool camp clothes and leave those on instead of your actual armor, that's basically their transmog.

One of my major complaints in this game is not having an option to select armor or clothes at the start. Not that I want to choose the best type. But something more aesthetically pleasing then slowly change as I grow. It makes no sense why my Githyanki wears ugly light armor while Lae'zel is decked in traditional armor.

Your Githyanki is unproven and untested at the start. They have not yet earned the right to wear the traditional armor. The cloths you have at the start show wear your character is coming from where the cloths they have at the end show the person they have become and the power they weild. It shows growth.

missing the 'broken' padded armor (different to the 'damaged' padded armor in the video), which is one of the coolest looking imo. basically it's wylls starting armor but with one of the sleeves ripped off and the belt around the corset tied loosely. looks especially great when you dye it. You find a set of it on a shelf in the basement of the tollhouse near where you first meet karlach

I love that all armors are unique and not just a recolor of the same 10 skins. This is a costant beef I have with other games. I can't imagine how hard it must have been to create all of theese in BG3 and I applaud the team that wes responsible for coming up with these

I love the game but you’re wrong there. The majority of the armor on this list had several recolor’s if it. There ain’t a whole lot of unique armor in this game and most of the ones that are unique require you to get to basically the end of the game. Same with weapons. There are barely any good or fun to use weapons in act 1 and 2 especially if you’re looking for long swords. Long swords are probably one of if not the most commonly used weapons in all fantasy games and yet in all of baldurs gate 3 there is only 1 long sword that is higher than blue rarity. I love this game a lot but I feel like they slacked just a little when it comes to weapons and armor.

This game really needs a transmog feature, so my party can be as fashion as deadly it is. This Elven Chain will look gorgeous on my Longbow Assassin Gloom Stalker Fighter Wood Elf protagonist. It just fits the idea of deadly agile archer, but I need to wear more stronger peace of gear, cause why I will underpower myself? Ignoring tadpole powers is enough for me)

I have the armor of agility on shadowheart (0:40) and it was driving me crazy that the one pauldron was glitching out on the texture. nice to see that it is a weird bug! im guessing it has to be a lighting texture on it. you can see the normal texture when they shift.

you missed one armor, on the dead body of the burning inn where you save the the purple elf chick, there is a unenchanted drow armor on one of the dead drow that has a simpler look compare to the green drow armors and it is the one the npcs are using in their model, and it is un dyed so you can dye it your self.

Feels like over half of these can only be obtained with mods or console commands which is so frustrating for someone on consoles. Spent forever trying to find a way to get the hellgloom set ( 1:59 ) since it looks like a darker version of the flawed helldusk armor but it appears that it isnt in the game. I find that theres a lack of cool heavy armor and even more restrictions with dyes since 90% of them are just terrible. Not complaining about the overall game of course but i wish these showcases could elaborate on how they got the armor

If I havent missed it, you forgot the Elven Chain. It looks really good, especially on Shadowheart. It is a medium armor but anyone who wears it is considered proficient in it.

as much as i love BG3 (favorite game of all time) alot of these armors are sadly just recolors. take infernal robes for instance, A reward for Wyll for being a good puppy. they are identical to Selunite robes. Just another color. A bit disappointing.

Act 3 Baldur's Gate Lower City, Temple of Umberlee, quest called Avenge the Drowned. I think there are two very different ways to get the robe depending on how you want to play, but I won't go into further spoilers here.

I like both armor style in fantasy genre: the realistic armor from dark fantasy and epatage bikini-armor, but here in Baldur's Gate the most armor sets and suits looking much mediocre or even boring, like in any TES series games (Oblivion, Skyrim). If you want aesteticaly cool looking armor - it is need to install fan-mods...
