How we find rare pool ? Only luck or we can see something different than other pool ?

If you don't have a mod that tells you how many fishes there are then no there's no difference between a regular and a rare.

Yes I'm aware of the smart fishing pool mod ( trovesaurus.com/mod=10364 ). But keep in mind not everyone plays on PC and this update just dropped on console
