5 years later. WoW’s last best expansion. Imagine launching with 170 weapons for your classes with full quest lines for each of those classes. Fun times. I wish current blizzard would realize that that kind of stuff made the game fun to play, not weird systems like covenants that you’re stuck with. Each of these weapons launched with a ton of skins you could unlock, 4 for each tree I think and a total of what 6 trees? Idk they lost so much with the launch of bfa abs shadowlands really hasn’t fixed many of the problems that came with bfa.

They really should have dug more through the Lore with these. The ones that are rather bland are bland because there is no power behind them lore wise. I mean Paladins finally get Ashbringer, DKs get a variant of Frostmourne, Shaman get Doomhammer, Hunters get the Eagle Spear. Mages get Felo'morne Warriors had so many options, Gorehowl, Shalamayne (Varian's blades), Quel'Zaram (Lothar's sword), Great Royal Sword, Axe of Cenarius. Bloodhoof Runespear could have been nice for Druids. For those who have no real good Lore weapons tied to their class I think it would have been nice for Blizz to bring back some vintage items. Benediction for Priest, Rhok'delar.

+Fiach Dubhe Yeah. I know WoW's art designers like to think up unbelievably impractical-looking weapons, which, I'd like to say, usually have pretty cool designs. These are just dumb. Short, stubby, boring, nonchalant, and pretty weak on the lore. If I'd have to come up with a subtlety weapon on the spot, I'd suggest something like a pair ninja-esque blades, maybe a pair of intricate kunai or even dual wakizashis. Personally I find all rogue artifacts pretty bland, which makes my rogue main very very sad. Combat, sorry - outlaw - probably has the most interesting designs. Then again I dislike the whole pirate flavor.

Well yeah, but it's 170 skins. In any decently sized pool of choices, only a small portion of it will stand out. I also think he was pretty on point with his reasoning as to why a lot of them weren't doing it for him. Most of them really looked like they don't belong on the class/spec they were designed for, and would probably work better on another. IMO, Blizzard also went overboard with the color variations. It's good to have variety, but the same number of colors on every weapon is just too diluted, and most of the colors don't work with the weapon they're an option for.

The shaman fist weapons are incredibly lore friendly! Considering we have never really used our weapons to deal physical direct damage we would never have to hold a weapon like a normal class. Shamanic weapons and gear are supposed to be primal, and in some cases very bulky. I was sceptical to the fist weapon in tne beginning but after thinkinbg about it im more and more happy about that approach. Just look at the wc3 shamans www.oocities.org/war3squad/images/orc/units/shaman.jpg . They are absolutly elemental shamans and they use fistweapons. About the other classes. Using bones and skulls, to me, is a look that only suits deathknights and warlocks, maybe demonhunters too. Its a bit sad that they chose to add corrupted bone-looks to so many other classes weapons tbh.

Shamans in WC3 used claw fist weapons so I think blizz was going back to the roots with that. Lore-wise it's bang on. In addition you mentioned for the 4th claw shown that it doesn't feel shamany. It has a wolf's head in the middle, is made partially of fur and tusks, and is a claw weapon. If there's an orc shaman out there, this is THE appearance for them. I believe the last appearance is emulating the Twilight's Hammer style, also very elemental, and therefore shaman focused.

I was REALLY hoping that you could have identified that each version/color for each race differs or at least in the beginning have identified that you don't know which version will go to what race dependent on their class! From a lore perspective I love to get the Fist of Ra-den. First Ra-den was known as the orgin of the might of the thunderking. And elemental shamans are also all about lightning bolts. Also it seems like Ra-den did create the Elemental Planes. So the Firelands, The Skywall, The Abyssal Maw and Deepholm.

EDIT: And then you continue on with the video and look at the Fangs of Ashmane and say "Pretty cool looking, you can see a fang with a dagger built around it". A sub rogue is about coming out of the shadows, flaying their arms around, hitting their enemies by accident and leaving a big pile of bloody gore behind after they are done. Something more vicious would have been nice, I dunno, we have goblins and gnomes in the game, maybe something like an animated chainsaw dagger would have been awesome. But all weapons just a bone with some blades on a class that has absolutely nothing to do with bones or nature? Uhhh... no.

Wait... wait. BM hunters ONLY option is a fucking gun? Are you serious? I may sound whiny here, but I HATE guns. Even after they changed the sounds. Granted, some of these here do look amazing, but I want a CHOICE. Wouldn't it make more sense for a MM hunter to have a sniper rifle anyway...? Somebody please tell me there's actually an option here, because this is complete BS if not. I'm sick of being forced into a specific weapon type. Give us our options Blizzard. They're there for a REASON. (That means you too, axe warriors)

+Lexi • You're right about the sniper rifles. Sniper rifles are more fitting towards MM. But I think they gave BM guns because Dwarves are lorewise BM hunters and Dwarves use guns. Maybe that is why.

TheAaltje23 I dunno... I don't think so, personally. Because looking at some of these weapons, you can tell that a lot of them look themed or geared toward a specific race. And surely Blizzard wouldn't have made the decision to use guns based on one race alone, when SO MANY can be hunters. Personally, I'll be content so long as I can transmog the gun artifact into the bow artifact or something. I just really hate guns. xD

Lexi • I guess it also depends on what race you play and what role you give yourself. A nelf or troll is better suited with a bow for example, while Dwarves are more minded to guns. That is how I see it.

Just extremely disappointed with the last expansion with rogues, that is why I left WoW... An now there is also nothing to look forward to in being a rogue. Save my $49.99 from pre-order, save the 15$ for at least the next 6 months.. Saved a lot of money after watching what Bllizztard has in store for rogues. Thanks for your video you saved me a small treasure chest of currency.

*facepalms* Assassination and Subtlety weapons look god-awful 24:40 26:50 It's really frustrating; either spec should have at least one variant of the weapon that ISN'T curved. It looks horrid. A dagger should be better at stabbing, these look really silly. And no comment on the subtlety one other than, wow, a bone knife looks cringe-worthy.

At 31:15, that toothy version of the scythe is much more like what I would imagine the scythe should look like. In the lore it's supposed to be a cross between a staff and a tooth from goldrin, so to me this makes more sense. Also, the worgen Druid rp'ers are going to go nuts.

Gotta nitpick, sorry. Lore wise, shamans typically use a claw and a shield. the best example is the orc shaman class from 3. wolf skin hat, leather kilt, bear claw, wooden shield. that is our caster shaman.

+Kåpla Kvëhla you can argue that both ways. sylvanas is obviously MM (no pet, dark ranger) and she uses a bow, most of old nightelves were probly MM and all of them use bow....so you can argue both ways....best solution would be to have just one gun skin for MM and one bow skin for BM and be done with it

As a shadow priest i will transmog my weapon to Anathema, forever. Its a HUGE (priest only) vanilla weapon with magical green light-trails and there is no better looking weapon in game imo. These new Spriest items looks pretty cool, but i know u fellow Benediction/Anathema owners feel me. Great video btw thx!

Well teeth with metal attached don't make sense for a stabbing/cutting rogue weapon, but it does make sense for a feral Druid weapon. He didn't defeat anything

That's a perfectly valid opinion and one I could even get behind. BUT he didn't make that argument. He literally cuts from: "this weapon sucks because of " to "this weapon is awesome because of ". He might even be trying to imply the argument you're talking about, but the way he edits it together does nothing to present that. It does, however, make him look foolish. I'll have to disagree. I think the Paladin artifacts are rubbish. Fine you want to give Ret a Ashbringer instead of a mace or hammer fine but jeezus why a sword and shield?!?!? Everyone knows(well everyone except Blizzard) that paladins use hammers and maces so why are we getting swords? Could've used Maraad's hammer or Uther's. Total crap.

+Berronax It wouldn't make sense lorewise as the weapon gets stronger with every soul it claims meaning that if they were to stick to the lore it would be extremely OP. Plus although DKs are kind evilish they are still on the "good side" and having them imprison the souls of everything they kill might be a little too far down the path of evil. Also you would have dumbass DKs claiming that they are the Lich King just because they have Frostmourne and it would give me a headache trying to explain to them that they're incorrect.

Those Mage daggers would make amazing Rogue daggers. The point of a dagger is that you can stick it into something. But none of the Rogue daggers look capable of functioning as a piercing weapon, especially not into thick armor where you want a thin dense tapering blade.

I think one way you could look at the warriors weapons is as a narrative the lives of warriors or what happens when a gamer plays a warrior, you start out all plane jane warrior but when you gain experience you choose if you want to be a good guy or bad guy and that choice is reflected in the palidinish and death knightish weapon skins because it shows the warrior on their way to becoming what they chose. with warriors you either become a hero or a villain or you die and go to warrior heaven.
