Even with all THAT Pokémon to see in the Grand Underground, that's still not enough, especially because any specie between Generations 5-8 did not make the cut for BDSP, which makes the game's reception plummet more.

You don‘t need to have the 8th badge to get in that part of the underground. What you have to do is get to the beach under the hotel, stand in the bottom corner on the right side of the beach and go down in the underground.

thank you for this, now i know where a ice room is available. trying to get froslass. very useful guide to the min/max levels, i was reluctant to get past 2 badges for the levels to hav a decent chance with over leveled members. i do hate the locations you need to be in the right place and not wander 5 miles to get to your secret base...

I just got a Froslass recently and lemme tell you it is ridiculously frustrating, however placing ice pokemon statues in your base helps pump up the snorunt encounter rate a lot. I'd recommend doing it before fantina's gym, dig down from celestic town. Also helps if you want a mamoswine :D

@@Nelsea7190 There's one Ice Room in the central section right below Celestic Town and a bunch of Icy and Whiteout Caves under Northern Sinnoh :) Although I only found Snorunt and Glalie in the Icy Caves. They're pretty rare so the shiny statues help a lot!

Yikes, unless you pick Chimchar at the start, they really don't give you many good fire types til you beat the gym that you'd really need them in. I was hoping to train up a Vulpix before then.

Even then, the TM for it _is also locked by the next gym because it needs Rock Slide._ And then there's the fact that it's on Route 229- post-game. Mega sigh. Thank you for the suggestion though, might just grab one for the gym win since I'm lacking fire power (literally)
