In the video called Clash of Clans: Bigger, Better Battle Pass - Game Design Talk with Game Lead Eino Joas he explains how the magic items came about (along with a great many other things) and how they were the "silver bullet" that Supercell needed to really get people excited. I highly recommend if you're a serious clasher that you watch it. It is really a great look into their minds when making updates and fixing problems. They are tightly controllable and give the players reason to move up in TH level without wrecking the game economy. You explained them very well too Judo, going a bit deeper than Eino did on how you actually use them to the best efficiency. Nice job again!

For th 10 and 11 you should use book of building to upgrade spell factory... Bcz u can't use spells during upgrade and same goes for th12 and 13 to use it on workshop... love your videos 🤗

a good tip for wall rings would be to use only on the builder base because loot is limited on the builder base while walls might be more expensive on the main village you can always farm the loot at any time

Hi Judo, thanks for your video, really appreciate this all-explained series! I've done a few rounds of testing on research and builder potions, it seems like research potions reduces research duration by roughly 23 hours 55 minutes, and a builder potion reduces building duration by roughly 9 hours 25 minutes. So research pot is almost 1d, but builder pot is a lot less than promised :'(

Highly recommended use for the books/hammers: 1. Lab 2. Clan Castle 3. Army Camps (very expensive and lengthy upgrade time) I think the best hammer to purchase in the league shop is the hammer of fighting, it will provide great value

one thing on the books to also think about rather than just time, is the impact of the ability to get more loot. Think about books on things like barracks, which impacts troop training time, but isn't always the longest upgrade

10:24 ik this is late but for builder base wall rings are very good value for walls because if you could get 150 clan war league medals and buy 30 wall rings, 12 wall rings with the clan games, and 600 raid medals for 10 wall rings, you could get around 72 wall rings per month which is very useful rather than spending 1 mil - 3.5 mil on walls. Also th11 is best for wall rings because a wall is 1 mil, and if 1 wall ring = 1 mil, if you buy 10 of them in the league shop, you could upgrade 10 walls rather than spending 50 on 5 mil gold/elixir and only upgrade 5 walls

i think the best magic item combination was the training potion and power potion. i mean look at it max level troops and 1 hour fast training it's sick dude. and if u look closely, the training potion was way cheaper than the gem boost on barracks, spell / dark spell factory, heroes. yea that's why training potion was the best magic item that supercell has ever made. and if u are a farming type player u maybe u may have 1mill-full storage of loot

Research potion, best use when you have more loot than you originaly expected. Or just fine tuning your progress. Yes, it works only on e / de, but still, very nice to have 3-5 of them in stock, in case of need. :=)
