All 28 Cole Caufield Goals 2023-24

8.8% Shooting this year for Caufield. Last year he had 16.5%. If he had that shooting percentage last year this year he would have 56 goals 37 assists for 93 points. Stop calling this guy a playmaking 2 way winger. He isnt. He just came off of a shortened season with shoulder surgery having all the eyes on him and got unlucky. Matthews had 40 in his down year. He had a 12.2 shooting percentage. If Caufield had that. He would be at 38. So when you look at the numbers. He didnt have a bad season. Just unfortunate one. He played like a star.

As the season got deeper, he was going into the dirty zones again. He's going to be fine, yet, so many are questioning his size. Smart quick thinking hockey players are able to do that without issues.

@carycwilliams his size isn't his issue, we've seen him deep in a playoff run being a threat. All that he has to do is keep playing the way he was, his shooting percentage is bound to go back to normal

​@@flackjacket3dits While his stats per game were down, he still had a career year across the board. He's established himself as a productive forward in a whole season, that's not nothing. If that's his baseline, he's still a really good player. Now he ca absolutely build on that next year.

With him scoring 28 goals in 2023/24, I don't believe that he had a down year. He improved in all 3 major categories and stats. Cole had a career high 28 goals, 37 assists and 65 points. Any opportunity he had to finish the season with his personal best, it's a good year. Caufield may achieve a point per game in 2024/25 or close to it. I was thinking between 75-82 points for next season.
