I like stalks and dedicated buttons. Wish they kept the other stalk as well. Also would be nice to have programable dedicated buttons below the screen instead of the on screen shortcuts.

The indicator stalk is critical. In the M3 highland, the indicator button arrows move with the wheel so you don't know which one to press AND the arrows get washed out in bright daylight. That is extremely hazardous. It should never ever been allowed. Even if you don't like the stalk option, you need to address the issue. In fact, Tesla needs to provide an option for existing M3 highland owners. My recommendation is on-screen turn indicator buttons but offering the new Y steering wheel at cost would be even better.

@@jamespaul2587 For US this might be somewhat true. For APAC, EMEA regions buttons are increasingly unsafe as people can't use them exiting roundabouts. The world outside the USA is not setup as a perpendicular grid ;-). Great data recordings proved Tesla's wrong and now drawing conclusions it was an fail now corrected, deserving praise.

The backend just looks bad IMO but it does move away from the model 3 look making them atleast distinct. Too bad they couldnt hold off include 800v, 48v and steer by wire tech updates to leverage their new advancements.

Bidirectional charging would be a more useful feature, and it's one that many competitors are offering on much cheaper vehicles. Charge speed is already fast enough, as most owners charge at home regularly and make very few long trips that would benefit from slightly faster charging.

Reintroduction of the indicator stalk is a win, don’t see how you can easily switch from indication one direction to the other during a turn. Perhaps incorporated before due to a lack of roundabouts in the United States. Need the drive mode stalk back too. Swiping the screen again doesn’t feel right and time wasting. I’ll be happy to see them gone when there are no steering wheels in Teslas. Good move Tesla, one of the reasons why I didn’t buy before.

When I've tried ASS using FSD 12.5.2 on AI3 in parking lots, it worked the first time flawlessly. The second and third time it just quit before the car got to me for reasons unknown. Will wait for v13 before trying again.

You say, "sorry for no mi/h figures" However, for anyone that has passed elementary school it would suffice to divide the given acceleration by 62 and thereafter multiply it by 60. Piece of cake, right. So, 4.3 km/h divided by 62, and the result multiplied by 60 gives 4.16 seconds to arrive at 60 mi/h. Why 62? Well, 100 km/h equals about 62 mi/h.

But I think it is probably more fair to compare them with the Koreans since the Koreans also have manufacturing plants in the US and other countries and it’s difficult to retool all these plants at the same or similar time to have world wide product uniformity. Think the Chinese manufacturers are all mainly still in china? Idk maybe I’m wrong about that

4:05 Since when does Tesla have a culture of “removing features?” They have a fantastic track record of *adding* features to the cars, (unless we’re counting the now-obsolete ultrasonic sensors and turn stalk as “features”).

They remove physical features all the time, like lumbar support in the passenger’s seat, ultrasonic sensors, rain sensors, radar, etc. They typically add lots of new features via software, but sometimes they take them out. You can no longer adjust regen levels, and creep mode to make it drive like a gas car is gone as well. I would like to have that option so my family members who don’t drive a Tesla can use the car sometimes. It takes time to adjust.

As a Tesla Model S owner for over 6 years, I can attest, first hand, what is Tesla's downfall. It makes no difference how low the price of a Tesla vehicle becomes, if you cannot get, after the sale, Customer Service. Customer Service with Tesla is a MISERABLE experience. Things fail, and things break, but trying to get a Tesla serviced/repaired in an acceptable time is NON-EXISTENT ! I had planned to buy a new Model S this year, but have now cancelled those plans! My Model S is sitting in my driveway "Out Of Service", due to a simple 12V battery failure, which renders the vehicle un-driveable. I cannot get a service appointment for over 7 weeks, and, It is costing me over $1,500. in towing fees to transport it to Fayetteville to replace a $100.00 battery!!! If you are considering buying a Tesla as your only vehicle, you should seriously RECONSIDER!!

So disappointed that it doesn't include faster charging and the rumored 95KWH battery that would have given it 30% more range for only an extra 3-5k. That extra range makes a huge difference on highway driving and in cold climates.

I asked if tesla can step me through smart summon in their car park as I had heard it doesn’t work. Sure enough, it smashed into one of their demo cars. IMO, they should remove it until it works

The indicator stalk is an absolute must in any market that has roundabouts. This is because during turns in a roundabout, indication is required on exit which may be initiated whilst the wheel is upside down leaving the on-wheel indicator in an awkward position. Australian Model 3 customers have put in a lot of complaints because it makes driving in most Australian cities difficult because there are almost not 4 way stop sign intersections, because they're all roundabout (much easier to drive on, just more expensive to install). One could argue that a Tesla 3 driver finding it difficult or impossible to indicate at the right time could face fines for not doing so with the indicator on the steering wheel seen as a safety and ease of use issue. In a country like the US where roundabouts aren't common, it's likely not an issue. But in almost the rest of the developed world where roundabouts are seen as a necessary replacement to 4 way stop signs despite their cost, they're likely to say "bring back stalks"
