Your “40 rudiments” video is so underrated.. Nice to see you posting 👍🏼
@MetZelRio7 ай бұрын
It's so great to have someone just demonstrating the rudiments. I'm really trying to learn these instead of just trying to mimic some songs that I know. And since I'm new to drumming in the rudiments, I may not know exactly what they are by reading them. But this really helps me understand what they actually are.

I love how you slowly build each one in tempo, it makes it so much easier to really digest it. Thanks so much!

This is a must have video to learn rudiments Jerome plays them at different speeds. You can clearly sticking, covers many rudiments and writes the notes at the top so you can screen shot these and put them up to practice. Beat is you can listen when practicing as he goes right to rudiment.. it is a must have video. Brilliant !

So what! Be grateful! that he showed all of us rudiments for free
@yugdails8 ай бұрын
@@_.unknowntothesociety3809there are vids where they show all 40 for free instead of just 17… also the video is literally called “All 40 Rudiments” So to just lie completely in the title is so dumb. Plus they are just the rudiments, every single drummer has to know these, it’s not some secret knowledge you can look it up anywhere

I had a couple other questions. My teacher tells me to keep my palms facing down. But I noticed your palms are vertical and your thumb is on top pushing down on the stick. Also you're rudiments are ending on 4 instead of 1. my teacher makes me end everything on one. I tend to want to listen to him although when I listen to you play the rudiments, you're better than he is lol. I'm confused how should I hold my hands?
@JeromeFlood22 жыл бұрын
Really it’s up to you. What evers comfortable. Thumbs on top is French position. Thumbs to the side is German. Ending on the one is a good habit but I’m just not that particular lol. Look at some of your favorite drummer online and see what their hands do. Analyze everyone !! 🤟🏾

Apparently this guy doesn't do accents properly.His volume is all the same, plus hes never heard of playing rudiments in the open and closed position. A Poor lesson in my opinion and I recommend young students finding a better example.
