Luck and Wilson both carried two re building teams to the playoffs without much talent around them. Not sure if anybody cares, but something I see a lot of is people arguing against this guy is that a lot of his TD’s came off screen passes or touch passes. It annoys the hell out of me that haters would discredit a 50 TD season with trying to tear him down with something that’s just a part of the game. Seeing this argument so often, I decided to do some research to compare this season with Peyton Manning 55 TD season to see how taking screen passes away would effect his numbers. Out of 55, 8 came off screens. As for Mahomes, of his 50, 7 came off screens. Take away the screens, and Peyton Manning’s 55 becomes 47, and Mahomes’ 50 becomes 43. They both still lead their seasons in Passing TD’s by a very good margin, and would both probably still be named MVP of their respective seasons. I’m a guy with a lot of time on my hands, thank you for reading my long speech.

I think that Patrick Mahomes had the best nfl season as a QB because he tied tom Brady for the second most TD passes in a single season right behind Peyton manning who had 53 (3 more) but both Peyton manning a tom Brady were in their 30s in their prime and Patrick Mahomes is only 23. Also I thought that Drew Brees had to be mvp but when Patrick Mahomes got 50 TD passes and 5k yards AND carried the 31st ranked defense in the nfl to the #1 seed in the afc, that does it, he deserves the mvp so much more than Drew Brees.
