There is a negative affect for the weird ball. It gradually adds encumbrance as you take hits from bullets. To get rid of additional encumbrance.. takeoff and put back on the artifact.

The item gets heavier. Taking it off and putting it back on does not negate the weight. (It literally still ways as it's in your inventory.) -- It'll lose the weight again overtime.

a tip for the weird bolt (tornado) as long as something (anything) is over head (including one of the supports on the crane) youll take no damage

For weird bolt i just start in that room when the tornado come and follow in the eye of tornado to the top.

This is the intended way and works 100%, I did it like in the video and didn't see it, did this and got it first try - just be sure not to go too fast as you can outpace the tornado and it'll fling you. That, and after you've gotten the artifact, back up a bit and stand under the overhead parts of the crane and it won't fling you.

Useful weird bolt info, it sometimes dose t spawn when you first get hit at the top of the crane, if that happens, drop down to the air cushions while still in the eye of the storm, follow it around all the way back to the top of the crane again and it should be exactly where it was in the video. Good luck

We are supposed to get inside the eye of the tornado and it will always spawn. To do so, hang tight by the garage door where the energy drinks stack is found. As the eye goes over the door, start the climbing puzzle and remain within the eye the whole time. Grab the bolt, brace for the to pass and knock you down, then bounce down on the bouncy anomalies below the crane. The bolt will drain your stamina to recharge. Also, the weird ball WILL get heavier as you take damage.

I can confirm this works. Doing all the parkour course within the eye of the storm seems to be the intended solution.

For the cooling tower one (the giant fire tornado) it can bug and drop on the ground. So if you dont find it where it s supposed to be check on the ground.

Wanted to add this, but I have noticed some negatives about the Weird Bolt and Weird Pot. The bolt, when equipped, makes your stamina deplete a very high rate when you run. The weird pot fing sucks. If you eat or drink ANYTHING, your character will start tripping with an orange ghost running at you, and you will eventually die to some sorta invisable damage. You can out heal the damage, but it will not stop no matter what you do until you die.

@brandonp1985 the random spawn of enemies might just be a ingame thing or your character is suffering from a Psi attack. When you kill enemies do the bodies disappear? That's when you know it's a Psi attack.

The weird nut is refusing to spawn. It’s neither on the scaffolding shown in the video and is not on the ground below it. I fear it may have just fell through the map. UPDATE: Reloaded my save at the Cooling Towers Duty checkpoint, ran straight to the location and it spawned correctly. When I couldn’t find it the first time, an emission had happened and I feel that may have bugged the spawn.

At the bottom of the crane where you grab weird bolt there is a safe anomaly that you can jump down to and go back into that warehouse where you started at. Also in that warehouse is a metric ton of energy drinks to help with the puzzle.

FYI the weird ball attracts those lightning balls that float around and makes them hone in on you. Id imagine the others have some weird interaction as well

I don't think it's that. Some just home in on you, some follow a fixed pattern. I didn't have the artifact on me and I remember having a bad time underground with one of those during the "Answers come at a price" mission.

The Thunderbugs (thats what I call them, since they remind me of the Monster Hunter creatures) attack you when you have artifacts equipped, not just the Ball. They leave you alone if you unequip your artifacts

For me "weird water" spawned one time in the darkness and one time near the static light. Looks like it can spawn anywhere in that anomaly so keep your eyes open for the white dot to pick it up.

Only weight mod i installed was the one for ammo, meds and food being 80% reduction in weight and i found the game a lot more enjoyable and having to dump less.

Hypercube. Maximum bleed and fire resistance. Ball for bullet DMG reduction, protection and endurance , the last one is the weird flower for now, or I swap out for weight increase if I need to. (Have two lead lined pouches from an armour I bought in the concrete area zone. It has the best stats, carry weight and anomaly slots+2 lead lined ones) it's got blue between the joints. Cost a pretty good amount of coupons to get. But it's the best. All round protection and some of the best physical protection and has me sitting at over 96 carry weight all together without any radiation increases.

I was not able to get the weird bolt to spawn until I actually did the whole jumping course while INSIDE the tornado. Just going up there wouldn't work for me an I tried countless times. The first time I did it while inside, there it was. As soon as you get to the top, turn around, and you should see it coming towards you. Hope this helps anyone else having issues!

Just tried the tornado one got to the crane did the heal part but did not see the bolt or not or whatever. I even dropped down and followed the tornado inside the eye and did not see it. I'll try running away and saving and loading like someone said to do but not right.

Essentially it makes your stamina drain faster when sprinting. Pretty sure the drain is comparable to when your inventory weight is at around 60-65 of 80. So you definitely want to either unequip it or bring a large supply of energy drinks with you if you have to do any kind of jumping puzzles.

Dont forget, weird bolt work if it is charged (bolt is red, if not red=he is not working-bolt is off), he is charged only if you go to anomaly and you are hited (or throw bolt to anomaly and charge it and receive bolt back), anomalies charge this bolt and charge too long and bolt work too short - thank this bolt is useless .

@@samoshWeird Water have posibly only 4 positions just look for bigger rocks around central hill (3 around central hill visible from him and 1 little away on NE under clif wall near edge of anomaly - NW and SE have around 40% chance each, SW have around 15% chance and that one away where spawned for me on NE have around 5%).

Has anyone else had crashes during emission after you received Weird bolt? It seems to be charging during the emission and this somehow causes game to crash. It doesn't matter if you sold it or where it is, the result is the same. I've seen several such cases with different users, including me. Before this I had spent over 30 hours in the game and had not encountered any crashes, but after receiving the bolt game started to crash on every emission :(

So, the developers in the discord said that they are aware of this bug, so those who will pick up the bolt - do not inspect it, this is what leads to crashes during emissions.

A few of them do have some pretty nasty trade offs. The pot makes it take longer to become hungry but when you do eat it hits you with psi hallucinations and if you eat a lot it’s likely to kill your character as your health will start rapidly dropping. The bolt makes your base stamina drain rate roughly the same as having your inventory weight at around 60-65 of 80. The nut makes it so bleeding stops immediately but it reduces the amount of health restored by healing items.

@@elmendelasarten8365 I have mark on edge of Anomaly Wandering Lights in Zaton and I save position 185m ot of my mark, I literaliy 8 hour in row checked from lights start lighting to disapear them, i looking around all rocks, clifs, all standing lights, a do cca 80x load game, 15x full restart game, 3x restart my NTB and not working any helping tips I find on YT. I never learned anywhere if we have to go to the Arch Anomalies in a certain order or if we can go in a random order, I don't know if I have to have or can't have a certain item with me (story-wise, I got a detector from the professor for the documents from X5), I don't understand why the detectors can't at least beep that the Weird Item is in those ARHC anomalies, they don't have to beep depending on how far away we are from the artifact and its direction or location (depending on the type of detector), but simply beep that it's there so I don't have to spend dozens of hours unnecessarily because of a game bug.

Yes but there's límits to where you can go, the western and northern checkpoint are on lockdown and you need a key or permission to pass Through them to the garbage zone and the chemical plant (northern and immediate western region) however you can try Luck and assault the eastern checkpoint of the safe zone or walk all the way south then east through the pass to the cordon and meet sidorovich, some pretty good loot is there to be found and some well paying missions too for early game standards, then just go north following the road way and then go east through the wild island region, you'll be in one of the biggest (and also most profitable) areas of the Game, you can get 2 modded AR416 (sofmod and clusterfuck, when is a normal 416 modded with a grip, reflex sight and a silencer, the other one is a modded 416 for Marksmanship, double damage compared to the rest of 416s, single shot, extended range and integrated scope) and get some good gear, you can also just pass through the wild island region going north and get to the garbage zone going west afterwards, don't expect to be able to get to zalissya directly going on foot tho, if you want to get back you'll need to come back from the place you left from or hire a guide to fast travel back

@@UlfsaarDotA ok so for the weird bolt there is a building that has a bunch of energy drinks go inside cuz that's where you start but anyways wait for the building to be in the eye of the storm then follow it to a set of stairs and that's where the parkour starts and you can't leave the eye or else well you get shot into the sky hope this helped I had the same issue if you still having trouble just reply :)

If you want to get the /Keeping your hands steady/ (1% of players has it) achivement just get the weird water artifact and with that on my "belt", I just shot a random enemy in the head threw some fucking chainlink fence, and the game gave me the achivement, because the weird water gives you the weak knees many times, so you are intoxicated in a way. 🤣 I sure haven't drank any wodka, because I got liquid rock on my belt so it has to be the weird water.
