Great video Bishop! I had my friend from Many that was volunteering as one of the Elves on it as they were on the Beaumont Sub and I tell ya, it gave me a neat perspective of what it's like to volunteer if I ever decide to do it someday. You have a good Merry Christmas man!

Great catch and detailed video of the ride along on the Holiday Express. Takes me back to 2008 when I had an opportunity to ride back in 2008 when our track supervisor played Santa. Our premier we will be showing this Saturday at 6:30 PM CDT of the CP Holiday train going back to 2008 feel free to check it out. We sure enjoyed watching this. Yes both were original IC. You can still see the ICRR lettering on the doors handles of one of them.

Usually every September or so, KCS releases their Holiday Express on their website. It lists their stops and sometimes what routes the train travels on too

Would you happen to know the exact kind of tank car they used to make Rudy? I'm working on a small project and would like to use the correct car for it

So I couldn’t tell you exactly the type of tank car, but Rudy was made out of the inner layer of a tanker because it’s obviously smaller than the outer layer that we see. I just learned this a few days ago from one of the guys who helped build it. Wish I could help you more.

The former KCS holiday express will not be running north of out of Shreveport this year. CPs Holiday Train will cover KC to Shreveport.
