You will just get a stipend during your training period of 1 year. 55,000 rupees is the total pay but after deductions like mess fees, sports fees, and hostel fees you will receive just 46000 rupees every month as a stipend till July 31st. Moreover, stipend paid from the month of March till July shall be liable for income tax deductions as per the Income Tax bracket

Sir jaise koi BARC mein select hota hai to agar wo PhD karna chahta hai to aapne bataya tha ki BARC khud ke institute se PhD karata hai uska khud ka institute HBNI hai to sir ek baar apne bataya tha ki HBNI mein astronomy nhi hai jisse PhD kar sake to sir jiska drdo mein selection hota hai aur agar wo drdo mein service karne ke sath sath PhD karna chahe to sir drdo kis institute se karwata hai PhD aur sir drdo jis institute se PhD karwata hai kya aap ye bata sakte hai ki waha astronomy pe ho sakti hai.

No, officers from sciences backgrounds have to wait for a cooling period of three years after completing their training to get enrolled in a Ph.D. (which can be in any stream). But this Ph.D. has to necessarily be from HBNI (Homi Bhabha National Institute, which is a DAE Deemed to be university) only.

@@ashishtorq no u got me wrong i got less than 60 percent aggregte on my bsc i.e 5.96 but in Post Graduation it is above 6 but in the advertisement its given 6 in both bsc and post grad level so can you pls clear this doubt whether it will effect or not later
