സത്യം പറഞ്ഞാൽ biotechnology ഇപോഴും ഇന്ത്യ യിൽ വളർന്ന കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്തെ ഒള്ളു. Msc biotechnology ചെയ്യുന്നു ഒരാളല് ആണ് ഞാൻ. എന്റെ അഭിപ്രായത്തിൽ എന്നെ പോലെ science ഇന് ഓട് അഭിനിവേഷം ഉണ്ടെന്നു ഉള്ളവർ മാത്രം biotechnology എടുക്കുക. അതായതു പഠിച്ച കൊണ്ട് ഇരിക്കാൻ താല്പര്യം ഉള്ളവർ മാത്രം biotechnology എടുക്കുക. നല്ല ജോലി പെട്ടന് കിട്ടും എന്ന് ആരും കരുതരുത്. ഇപോഴും biotechnology ക്ക് ഇന്ത്യയിൽ നല്ല ഒരു work space ഇല്ല.

I am a bsc biotechnology student. In my opinion for better jobs you should atleast complete Msc.For Msc programmes,general biotechnology is better than specialization.As the scope for job increases.Main career options are in teaching ,research and in biotech companies. For teaching one should get high scores in PG and also need to qualify NET (National Eligibility Test).Government jobs for biotechies are less.We need to search.In my knowledge biotechnology is among the qualification for food inspector.Government jobs doesn't requires PG.Can apply even after UG.

@@mudramariew598 If you are interested then you can go ahead.Its a good course.But the problem is that we will not get jobs soon.For getting biotechnologist job we should complete MSc.And it's not an easy subject too.Those who are interested in this subject can take this course.Bsc biotechnology is a combination of biotechnology, microbiology, chemistry etc.So for those who are not interested this is not suitable.We can succeed in this career.But not much opportunities in India now.May be biotechnology flourish in India in future.So it's totally upto you.For getting admission for PG good marks are required.As a bsc biotechnology student i am now regretting.Bcoz for building a successful career or to get any biotechnology related job i need MSc.Even if we take botany, zoology, microbiology etc we can go for MSc biotechnology.So there is a high competition in this field.So better you can take another courses like mentioned above.So that you can get many career options after bsc.And even if then you are interested in biotechnology,you can go for Master's in Biotechnology.
