I think the primary reason why car companies avoid damping is the increase in cost.If good quality damping is done for the whole body it will increase the price for about 50k ,which surely is not desired for budget cars ,....or for cars in below 20 lakh range. What will you say about Rolls Royce which uses about 100kg of damping material for their cars to be super silent? It's all about cost reduction I feel

Indian crowd likes to buy cheap, hence no damping from OEM's. Everyone should get basic damping done, 6-10 sheets make a massive difference if installed right! Doors - Wheel Walls - Bonet - Boot - Spare Wheel Pit - Floor. 10-15 Sheets make a 2-3 dB diffrence in real life conditions.

That's nice , I will say that car Air conditioning also improve along with noise reduction. So fuel mileage doesn't effect much. Damping will give best Diving experience with more comfortable. ❤

Hii,i think you have done overdoing doing this job.. actually you only need to stick the TAPE where the metal is weak ( not have support) or at far away places from welding joints. And it does NOT absorb any sound “ it just insulate or provide resistance to vibrations on metal surface.😉.

Dampening is the biggest scam in the market. Unless the car is not engineered to be silent, no amount of dampening can make it silent enough. At most expect 5-10% silence with the best of dampening. Anything else claimed by random youtubers is just gimmick and scam.
