All about EVARS in E3D , they are still around ( with voice ) !

In the coming video we will be giving a simple dll to give away. For you to install the dll into your system, we need to understand about how the E3D startup works.
In this video I will explain the various files that are involved in the E3D installation. Though I did not mention, the project installation is also set up in the custom evar directory. Everything that E3D uses comes from environment variable settings. Reason for this is that they have been around even before the time when UNIX was the OS for all the CAD/CAE application. So they do not use the registry but these files that set up the enviroment variable. Whether this is better or registry is better, everyone will have their own opinion. So good luck with that.
Be warned , this video is quite boring, but going through this helps you understand how the startup works and let you have a better idea of managing E3D installation as an E3E administrator.
