Where did you find your cage at? My hamster injured one of his teeth and it’s outside of his mouth cause he decided to chew on a bar in his mesh wire cage...and I feel like the glcage you have if I got one just like it, it would be a much bigger relief on me and worry less knowing he won’t get hurt...

Thanks for your video, it was a bit of a shock though. Our hamster minxie minx, passed away 12 days ago,broken our hearts, and then it was like she was running around again in your video. Identical down to the special marking on her back. Gulp.😢

My son's hamster was chewing his cage and got a fright and broke her tooth which went down her throat and she was very distressed and coughing my partner managed to save her by massaging her throat and she finally started breathing again but she keeps giving a little cough now and then(I stayed up all night to watch her) will her teeth grow back and I read that she should maybe have cucumber and soft foods until she feels better and may be berrys can I have your advice please?

My hamster seems to have chipped teeth, but they are not overgrown. The look like the teeth of the hamster you used as an example of overgrown teeth. With a v missing in the teeth.

I just have a few questions my hamster keeps sleeping in the tube in his hamster heaven metro I’m not sure if this is fine or should be stopped any recommendations. Second one is my hamster eats the care fresh bedding because he thinks its food should i switch. Hope you and the other mice are doing fine. Bye.

This is normal, some hamsters like to sleep in tubes and you shouldn't stop them from doing that. When you say your hamster eats, do you mean actually eats the bedding or just hoards in his/her pouches and takes it to her bed. Because if it's the second one, then that's also completely normal. This is what hamsters do with bedding they're going to nest in :)

That's not true, males and females are about as friendly as each other. Not sure where you got that information from but I suggest researching elsewhere like a hamster forum. It's not about the gender, it depends on the hamster as every hamster is different and will have different personalities. I will say however, as you're a beginner, the easiest hamster species would be a Syrian due to the fact they are generally easier to tame and hold compared to the Chinese and the dwarf species. It may be hard to handle for someone who doesn't have first hand experience so for that reason I would suggest a Syrian :)

That's good! And yes I was going to get rabbits but then my mum made me realise that I wasn't going to stay at home for that long, I would need to move in order to get the job I'm looking for which I didn't think about back then so it wasn't the right time. Maybe in future when I have moved and found a place to stay, I will be able to but rats will come first! :)

My hamsters don’t chew on their chew toys... But they do love to chew on the whimzee chews haha :) ofcourse I leave the wooden chew toys in their cage in case they wanna chew on it or need it :)

You're welcome! Do plenty of research! Also I do have quite a few videos on hamster care which you are free to check out however I would not use this as your only research source. Definitely research on hamster forums like hamster central and hamster hideout :)

This kinda gets me scared to get a hamster bc I’m going to get a hamster in a couple weeks but I don’t want to harm my hamster without me even knowing. I have a question about cages. So I am getting two dwarf hamsters and I wanted to know if I have a 20 gallon tank but use add ons (like a small cage connected by tubes) would be good enough for space?

Alex Irregular 20 gallons used to be big enough for a hamster but then the minumum got raised so it's no longer big enough unfortunately. You would need at least a 40 gallon tank :)

No he's not going to die, however I would look into his diet or investigate what might be stressing him out as mentioned in the video. Or you could just take him to the vet that way they can clarify to you what's wrong with him

Is your hamster showing signs of dehydration? Gently pull his scruff back and if it stays there then he is dehydrated, if it goes back down then he is not :)

I still have chews in my cage but my hamster keeps chewing on the metal bars. What should I do?

Try rubbing a treat on a couple of your chews and see if your hamster chooses the chews over the bars. If not, then you could always try coating the bars in vegetable or olive oil as they supposedly don't like the taste of it and it can put some off chewing them. However, you can get those that will just lick it off and continue chewing but it's definitely worth a try :)

Definitely do plenty of research. I have a video on mice care so you are free to watch that also but I wouldn't just use this as your only source :)
