Notes (Please suggest any changes or additions required) U turn is one of the best way of landing. 24:11 doesn't matter how fast you are don't be afraid of how fast you are in landing. If you break early you will surely crash. More speed is ok. Just that dynamic breaking is required. 28:16 Sink rate is more important than speed. Only at the right moment use the brake. 31:34 How to find out wind direction when there's no wind shock? Answer: Do a 360 to know about your position? 33:59 What is landing in the wind gradient? Answer: Changing wind speed from air to ground is called wind gradient. 40:31 During wind gradient the angle of attack increases and we stall. 46:10 With wind gradient landing is very risky rather higher speed is better. 47:09 Performance glider trim speed of the glider is far from the minimum speed of the glider 47:39 Question: How to choose a glider for wind gradient? Answer: Minimum speed should be as low as possible and trim speed as much high as possible. 48:29 Question: How can we prevent situations when there is wind in take-off and not during landing? Answer: Don't try to reduce your speed. Keed speed as much as possible. Release the trimmers. Land with cross wind. Use the drag to land better.
