@janmckittrick1068 you got lucky. There, on Knik River Road, terrorization and crime kicked in after 2017 and got wose every year and now its a shithole terrorist road.

BOW-gard Road, my real estate maven. Not ‘bah-guard’ I graduated from Palmer High & lived off Bogard, which did not go all the way to ‘Plamer’ as we liked to say then.

We used to say, do you know why the wind blows in Palmer? Because Wasilla sucks. It really does.

You make it sound so much nicer than it really is. But ignorance is Bliss. Palmer Butte Knik River area Serious,, Serious Crimes daily. A lot of people get robbed and crime up the Butte, knik River, and Knik River road, and Jim creek areas. Lots of Drugs Abuse, child and spouse. Not sure about your statistics but statistics are Not acxurate. Just a majority of count. It is Beautiful and all the good things you say, but Not safe and Not as friendly as you might think.

Hi @PepperJane-v1h Thank you for sharing your firsthand perspective, it’s always helpful to hear about the real experiences people have in these areas. You’re right; while there’s a lot of beauty here, there are also challenges. I always aim to provide a full picture, so I appreciate your insights on this. Let me know if there's anything you'd like to add for others considering the area!

@KenHagler Lived here all my life. Grew up living in Anchorage, the valley and Big Lake. Moved down Knik River Road 10 years ago at mile 4. I found out the neighbors were stealing our electricity. After i found out they terrorized me, hacked my phone, shot through my trees on my private property. They woke me up middle night shooting behind my window where i slept with a high powered rifle. They shot through my trees peircing through them with one round all to scare me off the property. Two neighbors their that would shoot constantly daily for hours. One neighbor moved in 5 years ago from Moscow and they are Israeli. Lived here all my life struggled to keep my small business up and going and i get foreigners moving in next door setting up a shooting range in their back yard and makin money off people paying to shoot in their back yard and taking people on four wheelers for a fee to go tear up the BLM community trails also shooing the trails trees up. Not just them but others come out into that community from out of town and to the BLM land thats maybe 500 feet across the road from homes. Just stay away from Knik River Road. The neighbors trespassed, Stole thousands of dollars in electricity from us. Not the Israeli neighbor but the Neighbor next to where i lived, from my land at night, they trespassed hacked my phone, tormented me from my woods stalking me... when the owner of the property died, they tormented me til i moved. Unplugged my security lights so they broke into the cabin and trashed it. They tore up the underneath of the cabin. When they woke me up middle night shooting behind my bedroom window i was so terrified and scared they were gonna shoot me though my walls, i called 911 crying go help laying on my floor terrified and the officer refused to show up to help me.. making every excuse why it was ok for my neighbor to be shooting on my property that i lived. He refused to show up and im still livng with the mental damage and trauma of what those people put me through. The owner was my best friend and my lover.... he died there in his bed and i found him Those neighbors that live out there tormented me and terrorized me after he died until i abandoned the property. I took videos and documented what was going on but there is no help for my situation. Im a middle aged small woman that lived in dry cabin in the woods and they new i was alone and intended to scare me off the property. No the place is sitting their waiting for them to take it over. I live with the trauma of what they did to me and police would not help. That road is full of these type of people. Houses get burned and robbed every week. Criminal alley Knik River road. Terrorists zone. Other than that place other areas of alaska are decent. Ive been out in prince william sound and have ama,in photos and memories of being out there PWS is truly its own heaven. Lots And Lots Of gold and abandoned gold mines. I have maps to them all. I know a lot of alaska and have even worked in Prudhoe Bay on a drill rig. Check out the desert we have in Kobuk if you havent already. And a true magnificent place to drive is the Denali highway. Amazing up there. Tangle Lakes is a whole different beaultiful. This state has more beauty and land to explore for a lifetime. Im traumatized by what i went through but I still enjoy much of alaska. I can give you any advice you ask. If i dont know ill tell ya. Thanks for your videos. You shed some positive light on it where there is some darkness. If you have not explored Johnson Pass i highly recommend that one. And then Resurrection trail.

@KenHagler if you visit Sutton, Loooooots and lots of criminals out there. They come into palmer to steal and commit crime. Theres a metal car crushing junk yard out there near the prison, word is Its nicknamed the bone yard. Ive heard stories thats where a lot of missing people go, If it isnt Knik River, they go to kill people at the bone yard car crushing Yard. Thats all rumor from another local.
