very well explained. A couple of clarifications. Should not one invest the enitire amount (50 lacs) and not the CG only under Section 54F. Also, in you example. If only 30 lac is invested - then the CG should be paid on the 16 lacs correct since out of the 50 lacs, 10 lacs is the principal. Kindly clarify

I had 2 residential and one of them I sold one residential property on 30.06.2021 of Rs.2.62 crore and bought a new residential house property on 01.06.2022 of Rs.3.18 crore and deduction claimed U/s 54 of Rs.1.76 crore which was my capital gain and capital gain became nil. Please confirm can I claim deduction U/s 54F of the same property which I bought on 01.06.22 for remaining unclaimed amount of Rs. 1.42 crore (Rs.3.18 crore Less 1.76 crore) in next FY 2022-23 on LTCG on sale of equity shares of Rs.50 lakh entire FY 2022-23.

Sir, suppose I got 25 lakh from sale of my plot purchased by me 10 years ago, now when I buy a new property but in my son's name of say 60 lakh....then during the new sale transaction should i directly pay my capital gain of 25 lakhs to the seller or should I first deposit it in my son's bank account and thereafter my son should transfer this 25 lakh plus the additional amount to the seller ?....so i other words should i or my son ,who should transfer this amount to seller for claiming section 54F for myself? waiting for your reply
