That was an amazing video! 😍 I have a question: How does it work with MDF and particleboard? Can I set the 50mm screw to stop flush with the piece?

Can I turn the light off on my gsb 18v 60c? I can't find the information ANYWHERE and I've contacted Bosch multiple times I need to know before I commit to buying a Bluetooth module. Does it use a different interface to the one shown here because it's older? Will it work with the gcy 42?

Have you fixed the sticky collar issue on the bit receiver on this one?

Good presentation. On a different note, when I click on your channel, I am told "This channel is not available." Every time, over different days. Do you have your channel turned off to viewer browsing? I think this is a bad idea if it was done intentionally.

Hi Ryan, thanks for the feedback! I've just tested the issue and not been able to replicate the same issue you've come across. Have you tried a different browser at all?

@@BoschProfessionalUK Hi, thanks for checking. I've tried over the past couple of days in Edge, Firefox, and Safari. Same result from all of them. Is it a regional thing? Do I need to make sure my VPN is set to UK perhaps?

Fantastic video 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻I have a question. Can I work with MDF to control accuracy with wood screws settings?

I have a Bosch cordless drill/screwdriver thing that has been providing excellent service for a lot of years, still on it's original batteries. I would have happily carried on buying Bosch. However, having to use a phone to control a tool? What? How to destroy all credibility! I have a finger, I have a variable speed trigger, cunningly combined they reliably achieve the gift of screws in things. You can keep your blueteeth!
@BoschProfessionalUK Жыл бұрын
Hi, the use of an app is purely optional as the tool still has a variable speed trigger and buttons for use with fingers 👍 The app gives you additional functionality but isn't a necessity.

BOSCH is loosing it. These gadgets are 'cool' but nothing more. Any worker can do all this with a single finger on the trigger, without having to waist time on the app and remembering which tool has which mode. Furthermore, the resolution of the speed is reduced to only 3 options in case you don't have patient to use the app? In the past good BOSCH products had an infinite control over the maximum power using a simple mechanism of a wheel behind the trigger, so that you could use your tool at 90% power and protect it for longer, so that you can control the speed/force of the drill etc. Now, instead of an infinite control and the use of a single finger, one needs to play with the app, and waist time. This idea has only one place in which it could work - namely in production line of cars for example, when a single worker is doing the same job on the same part again and again and again, but even so, since this device does not have a torque measurement (and your claim in the video of grease, corrosion etc. is BS (you simply cannot integrate such a sensor for reliable readings with tear)), this worker might need to check with a torque spanner anyway, and if he doesn't, if he simply over tight the screw - then he might as well use an old good impact, where he can feel with his hand where to stop with experience. I think you get my point..! Give us back control over your devices - we want to limit the speed of an impact drill manually not with some BS app.

Which impact drivers have a wheel for modifying the speed?
@gal766 Жыл бұрын
@@feanor5037 Good point, didn't think about it through... All the machines that I got from my beloved grandfather have wheel behind the trigger for fine control (all still work after 25+ years!), however, an impact driver only came afterwards, when they stop using the old and very reliable mechanism... Today they can't even make the cables right! The rotary hammer from bosch GBH 2-26 and 2-28 are so unreliable that I had to cut the cable ends twice and reconnect them to the tool since the copper wire tear apart from use..!

@@gal766 Fair... most seem to find the 18v tools pretty reliable, with a few exceptions from what seem to be bad batches. I personally really like the added features the app provides, and I think they're too variable to be configured in detail via anything other than an app but would also agree that more customisation via direct buttons would probably be preferable. Also too easy to get confused what you've set A or B to!
@gal766 Жыл бұрын
@@feanor5037 totally agree with your last comment, I have many tools in my shop, most of them from bosch, and I will never remember the settings for each tool, I am very good with my hands so I prefer to feel the tool and trust myself rather than the other way around 😅
