I will never use most of the stuff you review on this channel, but I always find your thorough reviews quite interesting. Thanks for making great videos.

Glad you like it! Figure this is a good way to see neat stuff and have actual weights documented on camera

You mention 34mm travel but can be run 140 to 180 depends on how you set it up. Can you elaborate to me. I’m in market of fox 36 grip 2 but I need 150mm travel and compatible to 29 and 27.5. Thank you in advance

Hello! You mentioned that the lowers are made of magnesium but I think I've read somewhere that they were made of a better grade of aluminium?! What's the difference between this 36 performance and a 36 Rhythm? The damper is the same? What about materials? And performance? Thank you for your reviews, keep the good work!
@flashfive232 жыл бұрын
The Performance uses 7000 series aluminum, while the Rhythm uses 6000 series aluminum. 😊

You mentioned there'd be a link in the description with a video detailing the air token setup (specific for this fork?) but I don't see it anywhere...

How does this compare to a rockshox pike select?
@Jamesthebikeguy4 жыл бұрын
I have not tried the Pike Select yet, but I did have a previous Gen Pike. Thought the Pike was a bit better on harsh stuff and lighter, this was a little stiffer and more supple with small bump compliance.

Does anyone ever upgrade.. to a fork like this …to a non suspension bike like say.... the Trek FX? I like the Dual Sport Treks but I don't like the very limited travel. But I'm not a experienced rider. I wouldn't be a hard core mountain biker either. I do like the x-caliber 7. That being a Mountain Bike, It just doesn't have the speed of a dual sport. I'm just not sure I would really gain anything by converting a FX, to a FX with a 100mm of travel or greater, front fork. A suggestion.. your videos.. are very good... just wondering why you don't include a... MSRP with the bikes or parts you showcase. Almost every video I watch on this channel... I'm asking myself.. I wonder how much that cost... I guess I'm just too lazy to Google.
@Jamesthebikeguy5 жыл бұрын
Well an FX can't correctly be upgraded to suspension as the axle to crown height is not compatible with a suspended fork. That's an example of why Trek has to make two frames the DS and FX
