Every man thinking about the Roman Empire at least once per day, so probably every man living and breathing. 👍

Great video but I feel like this is missing some important moments, like julius caesers participation against spartacus, how juilius was practically exiled do to his growing power. and thats when he took his legions into gaul. How he wrote letters back to rome in 3rd person, so it presented as from the perspective of one of his legionnaires, about his great deeds and military prowess. How julius married his daughter to pompey. Though you do allude to some of these events just perhaps not in order. Huge video and very well done im not complaining or trying to ridicule just adding some context for those curious.

What involvement did he have with Saprtacus rebellion? I didn't think there was evidence one way or the other?

The Roman Empire is such an incredible blend of power, innovation, and mythology! From the mighty legions that shaped history to the intriguing stories of emperors and their divine connections, there's so much to uncover. I’m curious-which do you think had a bigger impact on Roman society: their military strategies or the myths that reinforced their identity and rule? Excited to see how this video dives into it all!

The military since most innovations and needs such as roads etc were to primarily beneficial to the military that subsequently enabled them to conquer their empire to the extent they did. @@TheOAHistory

Ghengis Khan, Mongolian Empire

@@fromtherose206 Impressive and larger in area but it was very short lived.
@fromtherose2066 күн бұрын
@MrNiceGuyHistory if we're going based on longest lasting then the pandyan empire was nearly 2000 years. A bit longer than the Roman Empire. The Mongolian Empire was so great that a percent of all men today can trace their lineage to Ghengis Khan

CAESAR WAS LUCKY TO HAVE LIVED BEFORE THE CHRISTIANS.
@roodbennett21 сағат бұрын
Marcus Brutus was NOT his nephew! Brutus's mother was Servilia, who was a lover of Caesar. The family of Marcus Junius Brutus was the supposed descendants of Romulus. Caesar DID NOT say, et tu Brute. This is NOT a proper telling of Caesar, it's more like a presentation of the Shakespearean plays. I'm an archaeologist and Roman historian, please don't present stories as actual fact. Romans were prolific writers, and Caesar was no different, his commentary of his Gaulic conquests were obviously self grandising, but contemporaies of Gaius Julius Caesar also wrote similar history. We know much about Rome because Rome wrote much of their histories.

He was very cruel, perhaps no crueller than some other emperors but his cruelty was not just spoken of by christians because he was cruel to everybody.

@ahar7624 which is what you'd expect from a corporate religion selling lies about death and salvation to billions of idiots worldwide. THAT IS CRUELTY

@Neapoleone-Buonaparte so you were a contemporary of Nero? Because if you weren't then you have to take contemporary accounts as evidence in the absence of witnessing those events with your own eyes.

Lord Jesus Christ was crucified by the romans. Think about that. And think about the fact that he ressurected from the death. Read the Bible. Pray. Devote your life.
