Gerald Eugenio Mate it turns out on some S10 models, one of the diaphragm ports are removable so you can put a filter on it.

It fits into the British army’s PRR (personal role radio). I don’t think the attachment fits other radios as I’ve never seen a connection like it before. You might be able to find a few PRR’s on the surplus market, but they’re still in service at the minute so they will probably be quite pricey

Yep, S10 is seen as the best battlefield respirator , GSR seen as a better respirator, with its limitations in that it's very delicate, needs the insert in place in the respirator case to preserve shape and integrity. Throw the S10 about in Bethan and both the same worry.

Is 145 euro (including shipping and taxes) a good price for the mask, 3 sealed s10 filters, 2 Decontamination kits, haversack. The mask is in perfect condition with no marks what so ever. I bought it as it was the cheapest I could find for such a large kit. God damn e bay be selling it for 130 euro just for the mask! Don’t get me started with the bids as in the end of it people are willing to pay 230 euro for a worn s10 just on its own… smh

Hello Weaponsandstuff93. Shortly ago I bought an S10 on eBay, the mask came with the filter as well, that regular all black (40mm?) filter, it is dated 11/09/2008. My question is that if it is safe to breathe through that filter, i have been afraid of trying it; I don´t want to inhale anything that might be breaking down from inside, like the (carbon?). Weaponsandstuff93 I have an S10 converted for airsoft use, I use it as part of either a 2010-2011 "Transitional" British military set when the military was transitioning from DPM and S10s to MTP and GSRs, or a Resident Evil 2 HUNK set. Surprisingly, the S10 preforms very well, breathing is easy and doesn't increase fatigue (though I use a gutted filter, so that is likely the reasoning), and fogging isn't much of an issue as it can simply be breathed out of the mask due to the nose cup.

Yes, so long as you have an in date sealed filter. These are designed for military personnel to fight in an NBC (Nuclear, Biological or Chemical) environment.

For some reason, I can fit a GOST Filter (The GP-7K filter) to the S10 without forcing it. It just screws in like a normal NATO Filter and it does a perfect seal.

Well normal Avon filters are NATO, NATO just means the thread of the filter is NATO 40mm/RD40, it's a standardisation thing, so any NATO filter works with any NATO mask.

The problem you had fitting the "hud" could be a sizing problem as I believe the S10 was available in different size, it may be that you have a hud for a larger size S10. great vid though thank you.

Do you mean the hood? The hood is meant to be one size fits all which is why it's a bit too large, probably fits snugly on the Size 1 (Large) S10 but not as well on smaller models.

Unsure if they are polarised but they definitely do make everything seem really bright, so you lose the ability to make out colours clearly but everything seems quite bright.

The exhale, voice diaphragm system is totally different from an S10 on the FMJ08, the 08 uses the same system as the 05 and earlier Chinese masks just placed under an S10 like cover.
