As a first time watcher I really appreciate your content. It's quite informative. Doctor I am 22 and have been on TRT since 19 when I was diagnosed with isolated Hypotropic hypogonadism. I take 250mg Testosterone enanthate every 20 days. Since a few days I have an itchy scalp and am also losing hair from the front. I don't understand whom to consult in such a case because my endocrinologist says its rarely due to TRT while I firmly believe it's due to TRT itself. Should I consider another endocrinologist or try a dermatologist or maxillofacial surgeon?

More great information. Acknowledging that many athletic people are using testosterone. Many steroids especially testosterone can be used safely. The abuse of exogenous testosterone and steroids is dangerous. Testosterone just like finasteride is very safe when used correctly.

Thanks for being on my Channel. If you have ED issues, they will remain. Since ED is of many types and not always due to low testosterone. If not, you can go ahead and start Finasteride. Most people have no issues with both.

There is no 'complete' stopping hair loss since we cannot block all DHT. Even if we do, nature has its own mechanisms of upregulation. But after one year of use you can expect the best results with Finasteride.

Hello Doctor, this is a great video with lot of good information. I have been on TRT for more than 2 yrs now and I have seen very few videos like this. Thank you. I have 2 questions if you can answer pls. 1. I am on TRT (140 mg/week), my energy has improved. However without HCG my libido is almost dead. With HCG, I feel better and my libido improves. Can you explain why is this so? The problem with HCG though it increases Estrogen I guess and hence some side effects like bloating, gas etc, for me (particularly on the days when I inject HCG) 2. My Estrogen and DHT are both at higher level. Side effects are bloating, gas, (no nipple issues luckily) and hair loss. I have tried AI before but I felt so bad with AI that I stopped it. For my hair loss I am being suggested by take Finasteride but again I am scared about its side effects like it will shoot up my estrogen further and Libido issues. To your point I don't want to take either AIs or Finasteride and keep my TRT protocol simple and manageable in long run. With this in mind, do you have any advice (any supplements, natural herbs etc.) which can help reducing my estrogen and DHT little bit? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. thank you again.

Yes you can. Sice in mot cases the side effects are attributable to hypogonadism and not to Finasteride per se- Finasteride causes these in less than 0.5% cases with normal testosterone levels.

@@harsharora6113 If you are using Fin on it, you will probably end up with a lower DHT level than you would have had naturally without Fin. If you get into blasting test for performance, then yes, it will most likely accelerate even using Fin. It depends though. Some providers go a bit crazy and have people on "performance" TRT. If you end up with 3X the Test level you had before, your DHT will probably be about the same on Fin as it was naturally without it.

Marginal utility in tose with male pattern baldness. But whatever the effect, we need to recruit all medications that have been scientifically prove to be beneficial for hair. Such amazing Information here. I have been on trt for 6 years. 1 injection every quarter. Now 43. Started getting noticeable hairloss last 2 years. dermatologist who confirmed shrinkage of hair but knew little about trt and finasteride together so started me on topical. Topical fin at 0.075 per 1ml once daily for 6 months had no impact at all. Done bloods and all normal. I will start oral finasteride eod, 0.5. PRP is fine for maintaining good hair quality but deos not help in androgenetic alopecia much since it is not a DHT blocker. Generic Finasteride is a vast term encompassing companies that are reputd and those that are shady. Whichever you take, note the effect and then if you benefit, do not change brands.

I am on generic finasteride here in the UK bought from a legitimate and reputable pharmacy via prescription from the Dr. I started with brand name propecia but it was getting very expensive with Minoxidil too so Dr gave me a prescription for generic finasteride. I also have a prescription for dutasteride so will add one dutasteride once a week on day 7 like you suggested and finasteride for the 6 days. Would PRP be useful or not in stimulating the existing miniaturized hairs whilst taking finasteride and Dutasteride or is adding the PRP pointless as its very very expensive? Many thanks.

@@acquiesce100 Yes that seems like a good way forward if it is a reliable pharmacy. PRP does not help mostly in people with aggressive baldness. But you can take 2 treatments and see for yourself. It is likely that what you interpret as a benefit from PRP is due to the DHT blockers you ill be taking.

The technology that can make topical Finasteride reach the hair follicles direct is still in its nascent state. For now Finasteride reaches follicles through the blood stream whether consumed orally or applied locally.

Till 6 months after hair transplant, Finasteride is mandatory. Long term Finasteride will depend upon several factors. Not the same for everyone. Some don't need it at all after 6 months.

Thanks for your insight, I have been on testosterone cyp for about 7 years. I am 37 and have had a great experience. I take 180mg and divide it up by taking 4 injection in a two week span. So each injection is .45 of a diabetic needle. I take .5 Arimadex only on the day following the injection. My levels are always in check and have nevermind had any ED with treatment. my hairline has been going so thin lately so I decided to do a topical finasterode with minoxadil mix. Is this a bad idea? Many reasons- if grafts planted have less double and triple hair grafts, if density i low or if you have not taken Finasteride after hair transplant. None of these factors can be corrected at this stage but in consultation with your doctor you can take Finasteride and this will help somwwhat.

It varies form person to person. You will need to try out 0.5 mg on alternate days and then scale up if hair loss continues, to maximum 1 mg a day under supervision and direction of your doctor locally.

The sort of infertility you could face is erectile dysfunction and not necessarily decreased number of sperms in semen. There are many artificial ways of conceiving for eg IVF. I would advise you to visit a fertility clinic or an endocrinologist for the same.

@@vanshadkitchloo3094 I do not believe this doctor is knowledgeable about fertility issues with TRT. hCG can restore or maintain fertility on TRT, from what I read, although experimentation with the dosage maybe you needed--it's usually injected every other day or two times a week, depending. Dr. Bhatti admits he doesn't know about hCG. Since the FDA pretty much banned compounded versions, the only available supply now may be the brand name Pregynl, and It's a bit expensive, but one vial can last up to two months in the refrigerator after mixing.

Upping the injection frequency lowers the peaks and raises the troughs (you are more consistent). Usually, guys have less E2 issues with higher injection frequency. With Test C or E, I think ED is overkill for most guys. EOD should provide almost all the higher injection frequency benefits, without all the shots. I am currently doing EOD, with FIN and Adex (I am blasting, otherwise no Adex). For the blast, I take 250 mg test EOD, .5 mg Fin ED, and .25 mg Adex EOD. I'll get blood work in a few weeks to see if I am about right in my guesses. I haven't used FIN before now, and I haven't used Adex in a long time (Almost crashed when on TRT dosages with only a little bit). When I go to cruise (50 mg of Test E EOD), I'll drop the adex, and I'll use 0.5 mg of Fin EOD with my Test shots. I have some experience and previous blood work to go off of. Lots of variables, but I have some of it solved with that previous experience and blood work, but will need some Test, DHT and E2 measurements to confirm my informed guesses.

Recently, I decided to supplement with 6mg boron per day as I feel that my erections got slightly weaker. After 2 weeks, my free test is slightly above normal range. Is it possible to get increase in DHT levels due to increased Free Test and hairloss begins again? Hair loss is not die to quantity of DHT circulating. It may be a factor but not the major factor. It is susceptibility to DHT that counts

Yes testosterone in excess will be converted to estrogen. However this doe not necessarily mean erectile dysfunction. Go on it for 3 months on trial basis.

I got blood work last week and my total and free testosterone are a little too high but that was to be expected. My estradiol is completely normal. But my DHT levels were very high. The unfortunate thing is that Finasteride increases the level of testosterone by 15%. It is since it prevents conversion to DHT.

It would be the latter. While taking Finasteride the salubrious effect is not seen. You are unmindful of the progression of baldness. The hair are being maintained due to the DHT blocker. The day you stop it, the baldness you would have had at this time if you had not taken Finasteride, would get unmasked. It will be usually far more than when you started taking Finasteride.
