I've been playing this game for 10 years. Those house odds are bullshit if you play in an Indian casino. People say these shuffling machines can't cheat. But when the machine has the ability to take a shuffled deck of cards and put them back in order from A to King and do it by suit, then something is up. With wi-fi capabilities and the eye in the sky watching, there is absolutely no reason why they could not manipulate the shuffle. These casinos make a shit ton of money, and we all know how honest making a shit ton of money makes people.

You're right that the shufflers can sort an entire deck. But you're wrong that it would ever be used to cheat. First of all the shuffler has no idea how many players are at the table and the dealer gets their hand last after all players. Secondly, that's an insane amount of risk for the casino to cheat at a game where they have the advantage and no reason to cheat because they'll win in the long run anyways.

I’m not sure what casino RyanG plays at by in South Florida at the Seminole Tribe Casinos, the 5 community cards hit the table first followed by the dealers 2 whole cards then each of the players 2 cards are dealt. All the hands are for certain pre-determined with the community cards and dealers cards being dealt first followed by the other player hands next.

I've been playing ultimate lately at the casino and I have noticed that every time they change cards the dealer keeps on winning every hand. Is there a way the pit boss can set the shuffling machine up to give the house an advantage.

It's just the way the cards fall. You play long enough, the cards will go in your favor for awhile, then they will go in the dealers favor. Up and down, up and down. The best thing to do is take a break if you think it's starting to go down, then come back a little while later.

Just a streak. I was just playing and hit like 9 out of 10 hands for a quick $190 win. It's just about getting lucky quickly on these (almost) coin flip games and then bolting with a profit.

Very informative. This completely changed the way I view this game, I never expected raise on the hands that were mentioned, people always told me they only raised with JJ or better or only when they hit a pair on the flop. Do you have an guide on Bonus Texas Hold'em?

dancer14z I've been playing this game for probably 6-7 years and honestly just recently I switched from raising 4X before the flop if I had pocket 7's or higher. Now I only do it with pocket 9's. I've seen people do it with pockets of any kind or just one ace. It's amazing how many people will try and force that mentality down my throat but each time I've folded or waited literally 80% of the time I'm right. Or the player talking down on my conservative style of playing would eventually lose everything they play then shut the hell up, OR still try to argue their point. True they'd agree with Shackleford here but it's just as risky, if not riskier to play like that. I don't have thousands of dollars to burn so even if I have an ace or King high, I wait til the flop and sometimes the river. THEN I will call. Honestly I have even folded King AND even ace highs, depending on how hot the dealer is. Now if the dealer puts out a pair on the board, then I will wait til the river if I have an ace or king high, then I will call 1x. Still about 50-60% of the time, the dealer has a two pair or trips though. It's just how the cards fall IMO. I've gotten trips and quads with a pocket pair of 6's and below so you never know.

Lon, it's about equity vs. variance. You're saying that you are sacrificing a small bit of equity (money) to reduce the chance of going broke. Not saying that's a bad thing, but the guys saying you have to 4X pocket 7's, ace-high, and king-high are correct from the equity standpoint.

I play this game religiously and to the key mathematical strategy. Trust me...or dont trust me, but this is the best way to play. You MUST 4x these bets. You can and I HAVE and still do sometimes check such things as j, 10 and things like that its okay! I think the biggest key to this game is to always 4x that ACE and I play pocket pairs 4s and up.
@briancook6158

Maybe the math says otherwise but I hate 4x-ing something like 44. Then the flop comes out with 3 overcards and you are screwed.

the 3 biggest mistakes I see players making while playing this game is 1) betting more on the Trips than on the Ante/Blind. 2) not making the preflop play bet at 4x when they have a good starting hand. 3) betting 1x after the river instead of folding when they have a lousy hand. I see people making all 3 of these major mistakes while playing this game, all the time!
@alonzotanner1226
@alonzotanner1226 7 жыл бұрын
MrkymrkWA As far as your #1- Most people I see actually do the opposite. Like if they bet 4 chips on the ante and blind ($20), then they'd do like 10 or 15 on the trips if they play that. Some don't even play trips at all but how I feel is if you want any payout at all, you play the trips. It's dumb to play for a 1:1 payout IMO. 2. Often times the by the book play is not smart either. I folded often Aces, Kings, and Queen highs depending on how hot the dealer is. More than 1/2 of the time I'm right and the dealer has a pair or higher when I didn't or wouldn't, had I called. 3. Define "lousy"? Cuz I do play by the book enough to play pairs of two's three's and fours. However, say if there's a 2, 5, 8, 9, K and 4 Out of 5 of those cards are the same suite and I have a pair of whatever of those but do NOT have the 5th suite in my hand, I have folded it too. Like a dealer is hot, right? And they have 4 clubs out there on the board but I have only an 8 of diamonds and 3 of hearts. That'd be a pair of 8's right? I have gone so far as to fold the 8 cuz the dealer killed me so bad by that point. But the book says to play the pair of 8's cuz he/she may have a 7,4, spades or something. You're going to see a lot of people who won't play how you would or even by the book, as you'd see a lot in any game, ESPECIALLY blackjack.

You are correct for 1 and 2, but 3 is a bit off. If you have a 10-J-Q-K-A high, you should always bet 1x after the turn/river because some of the time the dealer has less than a 10 high.

According to the Ultimate Texas Hold’em tables in South Florida at the Seminole Casinos, the 5 community cards are dealt first, then the dealers two whole cards followed by each individual players 2 while cards. So as far as I see it your casino clip example was dealt wrong. Your dealer placed the 5 community cards and gave the player their 2 whole cards before the dealers 2 while cards and where I play this is incorrect and who know’s where else they don’t deal your example way.

Are you able to give me another example of outs when it comes to this game? I am sorry to day but the example the wizard gives is still confusing me? For each rank on the board there are three more that can beat you. For example, if the dealer has the jack of hearts, diamonds, or spades he will pair up and beat you. So, 5×3=15 cards will give the dealer a hidden pair. Also, all four queens and aces will beat you. So, 15+8=23 cards will beat you. You need to have less than 21 outs to stay in, so fold.

That is fool's math and totally incorrect. It's a pure equity calculation of how often you will win against any random hand.

Excellent video. The wizard always tells the truth. It's up to you what you do with it. I tell people about wizard of odds they never listen. The house edge is not too bad but doesn't seem worth the effort. Blackjack is far better and I find three card poker more fun.

My final answer. All Casinos have the computer pick there best hands against urs. They just let you win small hand. Just notice in Real Casino's they gave always straights, flushes, 3 of a kind. So don't go to Casino's thinking u are going beat them, go for fun.

honestly this game has no edge for the house. the house edge doesnt account for the fact if a person knows the right move, its 50 50, the betting amounts determine the house advantage . the times when you will mostlikely win is when you have your big bet. the trips bet will crush you. you still get a bonus no matter what if you get a big hand, the house doesent win 500x your bet. if you are running good, and winning even 48 percent, you should still be winning. you are only losing when your big bet is losing, which isnt likely. its like playing heads up against a drunk idiot that calls everything.
@noex100

How to be a smart gambler: assume all money you bet is lost. Don’t expect to beat the house. There is no such thing as a winning strategy...if there were, the casinos would not run that game. Or, in rare instances, they kick people out if they can play well enough to even the odds.

this is not good advice. betting 4x the ante with the above listed hands will send you home in less than an hour. even with A-Q in this game, i wait to see a flop. seeing a flop and then betting 2x or betting 1x after seeing the turn and river is wayyyy safer and smarter. it takes a little longer to win but it is worth it in my many, many hours playing this game over the years. and as for the trips bet, i don't prefer it, but everyone is different.

The strategy has nothing to do with "safer" or "pot odds", but like any bet, choosing the option that maximizes your expectation. In analyzing such games, you must always consider the trade-offs ox exercising an option. Not just what you lose, but also what you gain. I am an expert at this game, far more of an expert than the guy explaining the game (you can have as much skepticism as you want by my statement, I doesn't bother me). Rest assured, if you do not raise 4X on hands like AQ or pocket 55's and wait to be 2X or just call 1X, you will lose far more money in the long run then the player who does bet these hands. Remember the old saying, "aggressive poker is winning poker!" Although this game really isn't poker, the adage is still true. If what you seek is to minimize your risk then I have the solution for you: DO NOT GAMBLE! Then your risk of losing is ZERO ;)
@ryancarpenter9289

lhc jet you could be right. i'm basically just saying i play the game in a very conservative manner. i like to get up 100 or 200 and just get out. i don't have the type of money to be throwing down $40 if i get low pockets or a-q off or anything in that regard. there are always gonna be bad, unlucky days, but playing conservatively, not playing the trips, and getting out when i'm up has worked often.

If you don't do the 4X on things like AQ/AJ/55/etc. then your expected value (put simply, the amount you expect to make over a practically-infinite number of plays) will always be lower then when you see the flop and decide from there. Always, it's pure math and probability. So really, the issue is just variance. You're saying that the amounts are high enough that you can't afford to have a bad streak of luck. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but you should recognize that it's a personal limitation; if the end goal is to have the best long-run outcome, your strategy will not work.

this guy is showing you how to lose your money. people that play poker know the percentage of bull shit that is coming out of his mouth. you have a higher chance of flopping/turn/river a set with pocket deuces than with pocket aces. suited cards only give a small percentage more about 10% of getting a flush. do your research before donating your money to the super rich.
