This is was so accurate it felt like it was just for me! For me, I think the fear is the fact that I’m afraid sex won’t satisfy me because I have a specific expectation that I feel like in my mind would be the only thing that satisfies me, so I’m very closed minded. I’m scared that I won’t feel comfortable with anyone doing anything other than that as the main act. By wanting to keep him at arms length, if it’s what I’m thinking, it’s because we’re at a distance and we’re uncertain of the future because of our circumstances. This means we’re at a distance emotionally and physically until something further is possible, if that ever happens. I feel I might never see him again or not for a long time so I have to be in the moment. The family part resonates because I’m visiting him with my mom and we’ll probably be meeting each other’s families. I’m also just scared of sex with anyone after some past trauma with setting boundaries so that’s my other fear, however, the fear at the beginning also resonates.
